Hello. Simply avoid this place. Spend your hard-earned money elsewhere.
The initial impression of this establishment was quite negative. The oily chips, served in a filled basket, raised concerns about their quality and proper oil temperature control. Adding to the disappointing start was the lack of available Wi-Fi. While the menu appeared appealing, the price of $17 for a taco dinner or combo seemed excessive, especially considering their apparent inflexibility with order customizations and the extra charge for basic additions like lettuce and tomatoes.
Beyond the initial service and pricing, the overall ambiance and cleanliness were also concerning. The dirty floor and dimly lit atmosphere gave the place more of a cantina or bar feel than a welcoming restaurant. Observing the waitress occupied with her phone while the floor remained unclean further contributed to the negative impression. Although the black plates were a nice touch and margaritas seemed to be a specialty, the fundamental aspects of welcoming atmosphere and cleanliness were lacking.
Unfortunately, the food itself did nothing to redeem the experience because it was horrible. The beans were bland and had an unpleasant flavor, barely edible, while the rice was even worse and completely unappetizing. The sauces were equally disappointing, with the green lacking flavor and the red being overpowering. Most significantly, both the steak and pastor were of poor quality, dry, and nearly inedible, making the steak burrito and pastor enchilada particularly bad. The enchilada, surprisingly, lacked cheese, and the flavors only worsened with each bite, ultimately leading to the meal being abandoned. I ate as much as I could but it was pretty gross. Despite a clean urinal in the dingy bathroom, the overall quality of the food made it an overwhelmingly negative dinner, making it a...
Read moreI stumbled onto this place by accident and was truly glad that I did. The atmosphere was cleaned and pleasant. It had more of a diner feel to it but the food was out of this world! They're salsa and chips were so good that I'm still thinking about it the next day. The salsa is homemade with a deep flavor that's not just tomato. The chips were surprisingly homemade and very flavorful, be careful not to burn your mouth because they're fresh and hot. The lingua tacos were so tender and had such a deep flavor that I would consider it one of the two best that I have ever had. The street corn dish is very good and super sweet corn but perhaps a little too much cheese topping. I ordered a dish called Padilla that had five grilled meats and they each had their own distinct flavor and was top-notch. For such a small Cafe looking place, much care seems to go in the food. I would rate this place five star but it is lacking a little in attentiveness of the servers. Don't get me wrong they were very kind just not very attentive. Not only would I recommend this place but I plan on...
Read moreI’ve been coming to this truck since they first opened. It was fantastic at first, where it became a weekly meal for my family. As the the truck got more popular and expanded the food quality has truly gone into the toilet. Last two visits consisted of a couple burritos and an order of nachos. Peeled the foil off of the burritos to find them swimming in their own grease. Large chunks of fat and had to try to eat it with a fork as it soaked through the shell. Nachos were a pile of stale chips on top and grease soaked chips on the bottom. Grabbed a fork full from the bottom and watched the grease drip from the slop. Tried one more time this evening because everyone can have a bad day and it was by far the worst meal I think I’ve ever had. Only thing edible was the rice and beans. To spend 60 bucks to feed a family of four and still have to make dinner anyways is really disappointing. Definitely will not be going back ever again. Don’t waste your money. They seem to let their popularity get to...
