Do not judge a book by its cover. This is one of those places you could drive past for years and not even notice. The food here is outstanding and the quality hasn't changed in decades. If your looking for a fancy overpriced "dining" experience, then this place is NOT for you. Also if you can't eat spicy/hot food then I would pass because this place is the real deal. They have a humble seating area with about 8 tables and most of the cooks will double as wait staff and bring the food right out to you. I've shown up may times in steel toes, covered head to toe in dirt and never been judged here. Perfect after a hard days work if your looking to eat healthy and not get ripped off. The prices are awesome and the portions can sometimes feed two. When we don't have time to cook but still want a homemade authentic meal, we order from here. I can't say enough about the family that runs it, wonderfully kind people with outstanding customer service. They treat you like a guest in their home because you are literally stepping into their kitchen. My favorite thing is the green enchiladas, don't miss that. Also, the spicy pork sandwich with pickled...
Read moreCame here for dinner with 2 other guests and the restaurant wasn’t to busy inside but the take out was busy. It seems take out is where they really thrive but I enjoyed the sit down experience as well. The dining area is small, maybe about 10 tables but the service was good and he the waiter was attentive. I got the tripe soup, and grilled chicken platter, my gf got the birria tacos, and her son got the quesadilla, we also shared guacamole and chips. The chips were really good, you can tell they were freshly made and was hot, the guacamole was tasty too. My dinner was great, the soup had great flavors and the tripe was tender. The chicken was flavorful and came with rice beans. Everyone else enjoyed their dinner, I even snuck a piece of the birria and it was really good. The meat was tender and the broth was delicious. Definitely would recommend this place for great...
Read morePoorly educated people. Went there with family to have dinner. I asked for the bill since we were in a hurry. A very rude Mexican guy brought the bill and overcharged us for water. I asked why the water was so expensive and he thought he had given us more water than what he actually gave us. Fine, he adjusted the water price but then the bill kept rising. This time he added a $5 dollar charge for tips. Tips for just eating in the table without service and without even providing water and enough utensils to eat??? What is happening to these people? Don’t go to this place unless you’re starving can’t find anything else. RESPONSE TO OWNER: I tried to call you to explain the whole situation but your rude employees didn’t let me reach you. Please tell your employees that tips MUST be earned, I do not leave tips for a...
