Being from Arizona we come here every year during our travels. I had the Wop Chop and my wife had the chicken dinner. It was excellent. The pork chop sandwich is thick and juicy and easily the best pork chop sandwich in the west (we travel through Arizona, Utah, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, and Oregon). My wifeโs chicken was good, but a tad overcooked. They have other items in the menu such as scallops, two kinds of fish, cheeseburgers, and GIZZARDS! All reasonably priced. Equally good was the service. One waitress, one cook, and one dishwasher for a crowd of about 20 people. The wait for our food was reasonable, and our waitress was extremely friendly, efficient, and quick. We are coming back to Butte in Two weeks and we will eat here. Two draft beers but several can beers. Cash only but they do have an in House ATM. The tavern its self is a bit of a hole in the wall, but the food and service makes up for it. Eat here. You wonโt be...
ย ย ย Read moreI kept reading that if I wanted an awesome pork chop sandwich this was the place to go. So, my wife and I finally made it last weekend, and WE LOVED IT!!! We were very impressed ๐!!! You definitely get what you pay for, and I love restaurants that aren't afraid to feed you. The whop chop was super delicious! With soft and toasted buns, and the juicy and moist pork chop squeezed between them( mouth watering). Also, I really liked the crispy and crunchy batter that surrounded the pork chop. They aren't afraid to give you what I call jojos!! These were really delicious and had the perfect texture! My wife joked that it is like they just took the potato and cut it in four. Oh, and I had the poppers...AMAZING! They had just the right amount of cream cheese, just the perfect texture, and the perfect crunch to the batter cover. The lady at the bar who took my order was really friendly and polite!! This place is two thumbs...
ย ย ย Read moreWe were sorely disappointed with our stop here. My husband and his family always stopped here for the famous wop chop every time they went to visit his grandparents when he was a child. He's always talked about it and has even tried to make them himself...but of course was not successful. Our son and I stopped here with him last week on our first trip ever to Montana. The woman working the counter/bar (which was where we sat) barely took the time to take our orders. When our food came, my husband asked her for a second beer. It never came. When we finished eating we finally stood up, hoping she would notice and give us the check. It took at least 5 minutes for her to acknowledge us. We were invisible even though she was very friendly with the locals. The food was good, but we will never revisit the...
