I feel slightly bad to only give this 3 stars, but unfortunately I thought this place fell short of my expectations, after reading the reviews. I’ll start with what I did like: the atmosphere was very nice, I went on a Wednesday, had reservations but didnt need them. It was nice and quiet, not busy, the decor, the chairs, super chic, the lighting was very nice, made for a chill vibe. The tiramisu was fantastic! I love tiramisu and this was one of the top ones I’ve had. The rest of the food, i felt was perfectly fine, but didn’t wow me. I got the fried burrata, which was just ok, nothing special. And after much debate I went with something on the specials menu, Crab stuffed salmon. Again it wasn’t bad, kind of small portion felt like i ate it in 5 bites. Would’ve probably been better with maybe a creamy sauce over it or something? Just a little something else to jazz it up and make it stand out more. Some other things I found odd, the waiters seemed perhaps confused as to who was taking our table. I’m not sure - maybe they share all tables, but there were only 2 waiters there and both kept coming over - one would take our app order, then a few minutes later the other one would come to ask what apps we would like - same thing happened for entrees. At one point the one waitress tried to approach our table and seemed surprised that the other waiter was already there taking our order. Not that bothersome or anything, but just a surprising miscommunication, like i said it wasn’t busy, so I didn’t feel like they were too rushed to figure this out on the side. It was time to order dessert and when the waitress gave us the menu, she let us know they were out of keylime pie, which didn’t bother us since we wouldnt have gotten that. We glanced at the menu and were both very excited to both get the creme brulee, it sounded so good. When we tried to order it, she told us they were out of that too - then corrected, saying it hadn’t set yet. I asked if it would be set in the next 20 minutes - we would’ve been happy to wait a bit for it. She went to check and came back and said it wouldn’t be set for another hour or so. This was at about 7:30.. They close at 9, so I was really confused why they made the creme brulee so that it wouldn’t set and be ready to order until right before close ?? Was a bit frustrating for sure. And since my highlight of the meal ended up being the dessert that i had to pivot to - tiramisu, I’m sure the creme brulee would’ve been really good too. As others have mentioned, the drinks are very expensive, like NYC prices. I ordered one but regretted it when the bill came. It wasn’t worth the extra $15. The total for our 2 top table was $115. While it may be on par with some nicer restaurants, I just didn’t feel like the food and drinks impressed/rose to match the price for the most part. We really didn’t order a lot, and I left dinner still feeling pretty hungry because of the entree portion size. All this being said, I would probably come back, to give them another try and order something thats on their regular menu like the chicken parmigania, to give a more fair accurate judgement by having something they make all the time. I would probably come back for lunch as their lunch prices look better, but would honestly probably call ahead of time to make sure they have the creme brulee, because I really do want to try that as well.

Hats off to the chef and staff, EXCELLENT food, cooked to perfection. My Branzino was not over cooked and my husband's pasta was delicious, served with warm bread and butter on the side. Our wait staff was delightful as well, everything was just top notch and it's been a very long time since I've been out to dinner and enjoyed a place so much. I will say that the drink prices are quite high. *Edit* Checking our receipt later I saw that we paid as much for three bar concoctions as we did for food! 🥺

I went to Mosaico Tavern on their opening day. Usually going on the first day, things can be iffy. I was so pleasantly surprised. First impression was the place was beautiful. Open, inviting, clean. All of the staff went above and beyond and were super friendly. Food was PHENOMENAL. My watermelon martini was divine! I just wish there were a few more cost effective and “easy” appetizers (rice balls, meatballs, fried mushrooms, flatbread). But, all in all, definitely recommend.

My wife and I ate at Mosaico Tavern for the first time on the night before Thanksgiving. Our waitress told us the establishment opened in June. There are a lengthy bar and a couple tables in the front room, and a larger dining room in back, separated by numerous glass panes. We were greeted and seated promptly. The menu is nearly all traditional Italian, with a sprinkling of Mexican dishes. The wine list is short, but offers a wide variety, from moderately expensive glasses of wine, to bottles in the $150 range. We shared a burrata platter and Caesar salad -- arranged as separate courses, though both were listed under Salads on the menu. Both were very good. For dinner, my wife chose a pasta bolognese and I had chicken piccata. The meals arrived at the same time and were properly prepared. The bolognese pasta was al dente and the sauce tasty. I love chicken piccata. My perfect recipe -- though not the traditional one -- has artichoke hearts strewn throughout. No artichokes here, though, again, artichokes are not the tradition. The dish was very good and liberally sprinkled with capers, another favorite. One minor point: in preparing piccata myself, I've learned that if you return the chicken to the sauce for a few minutes just before serving, it makes the meat slightly more tender and infuses the sauce into the meat. Neither of us had a dessert. Overall, we were quite pleased with the service and the food. The atmosphere was pretty subdued, as there were only a few other couples in the room...

Gave us disgusting sandwich, completely undercooked and cold. We didn’t eat it and asked for refund and refused. AWFUL SERVICE. Originally messed up our dishes so we had to wait for my grandmothers food for 30 minutes while the rest of us waited to eat. Definitely just go across the street to Stonewood. They actually have great service and better food. Definitely will not be returning. Cannot believe a newer restaurant in the area has this bad of service and food. Cannot wait to tell everyone in the area about our experience.

Reply to unprofessional owner:

“Half and half sandwiches”??

My family and I ordered two sandwiches and physically handed each other half of each sandwich to make it half and half? I’m unclear of what that has to do with anything? Are we in trouble for splitting sandwiches?

The saddest part is we split the sandwiches and neither person could take a bite out of the steak sandwich because it was rubber. I could not believe the food they tried to serve us.

“We also don’t provide free refills”

…. luckily we all just enjoyed water but thank you.. that is now another reason why every other restaurant in town is a better choice.

“Unfairly criticized and give away free services”

This is fair criticism and the truth about my experience and your bad service. Obviously nothing was free that was made very clear when were told “no we cannot get a refund” for something...
