Cranberry Market & Deli — Restaurant in Byram Township

Had an issue with a purchase that was made 5 minutes prior. It was very old stock. I went right back in the store to address it. Spoke to the owner who said, "Listen honey". ???? Wow! The most condescending, unprofessional person I've spoken to in years. I was disgusted at his poor customer service, dirty store, and incredible lack of professionalism addressing a business woman as "honey". Ladies, please don't patronize this dirty, and obviously openly sexist business. Any business owner would never ever address a customer in such a manner. Now I see how sexist this man is. His counter staff were professional, tried to assist, but the owner was over the top arrogant because he owns a tiny little deli? That's no reason to address a woman the way he did. As I attempted to speak to him, he yelled over me, and that was on my first sentence in trying to explain the issue. Ladies, he will be happy to take your money, overcharge you, and then if you have any issue, he immediately degrades you to "honey" like hes speaking to a prostitute vs a business woman. I was wearing a suit jacket and coming from my own business, and did nothing to deserve a "listen honey" from anyone, much less this ignorant individual. It's about time the Health Dept visit this business, with a complaint from me, and does a check of their own on what Mr Listen Honey retails to the public. And by the way, why didn't I receive a receipt of my purchase, to avoid paying NJ income tax on your sales?? You do know that is illegal and they will catch up to dirty delis like yourself that try and cheat on income by not running receipts. Clean up your act, stock fresh product, and speak to your female customers with mutual respect vs trying to degrade them. As a deli, with regular service. This place is what you would expect. However, if you order a sandwich from this place, OMG!! ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE!! True sleeper spot!!
