Our servers name was/is Michelle We were in earlier in this month as we travel around.

Staff is what makes the difference in a place. We had a wonderful server who was attentive, understanding and very kind. My mother is a difficult one at times. Our server was so patient with her and I in general. Mother had a food complaint due to a terrible kitchen error and our server went above and beyond to make things right and very quickly. Food wise I can't say it's the best or the worst. We had considered not patronizing again because of some of the bad or average reviews and past bad staff experiences. But after this visit we will go back if for no other reason than to just chat with this server. She knows how to connect with people and mother, I haven't seen mother so happy after leaving a place in a long time. Good service is a hard thing to find today and they sure have a winner with Michelle. I can't say that we have been impressed by some of the other serve staff and we have tried a few times. But that is a common theme with many places now. However they can do better with staffing. Not trying to be a negative nellie but if it wasn't for this server they have named Michelle we wouldn't come back. She is the glue holding that together. It is more a bar/pool hall than dining place so not our thing necessarily. So as far as this establishment goes, if you want the best experience you've had in a long time then ask for Michelle and I'm sure you'll agree with this review after...

I dined last Wednesday with my boyfriend and our daughter and was seriously disappointed. We had decided to give this place another chance since we were disappointed last time. Upon arriving the place was not busy so us waiting a really long time for apps, teas, and our meals made no sense. We ordered 2 sweet teas no lemon and a Sprite and a combo app to start with. We waited a good ten minutes for the tea and then had the ask for EVERY REFILL. Our server brought me unsweetened tea and it took forever to track her down. Once our app arrived we had to ask for plates....isn't it customary to bring app plates? I ordered a shrimp wrap, boyfriend ordered grilled fish which is served with a side and salad, and our daughter daughter got a burger. The salad never came before the meal, I had to ask for it once the food arrived. My shrimp wrap was below standard. The lettuce was wilted and slimy and the tomato was mush. The shrimp was chewy and lacked flavor. The grilled fish was just as bad, over cooked and under seasoned. The side salad was nothing more then the hard cores of the lettuce. When our server dropped off our food she asked if I needed any "come back" sauce I said yes but never saw her again until it was check time. Someone else dropped off the salad. This place has went through so many changes over the last few years. Some for the better some for the worst. They have a new manager some of us customers aren't too fond of. However 3 things haven't changed that we are please with. Michelle, Debo and Rachel. So many have come and gone so it's hard to get used to consistency. Debo is the best cook of all time Michelle is the kindest, most loving and attention server I've ever met and Rachel is the sweetest bar tender of all time. These 3 are what keep us coming. Michelle though without her we will just find somewhere else to go period. Any problems we have ever had she took care of us. When we had a conflict she helped us. Even going above and beyond outside of her work time to listen and do what she could to make things right. I mean come on outside my job I don't care. But her? She really loves all of us and we love her. Epic waitress...
