Dairy Queen — Restaurant in Byron

DQ: Condemn or disenfranchise this location - or reclaim it and run it properly. Last spring when we came there were so many flies in the lobby I couldn't fathom ingesting food from here.

Returning a year later due to a gift card & being made to wait 20m in line, getting the order wrong on 2/3 items, having to go back and then hear two things from two people to another customer had me ready to scream in rage at the situation. One person Said "sorry, computers aren't working so we're trying to memorize stuff" = it's called pen and paper. But even when returning to correct the wrong order and stating it clearly again to his face, (different guy) wrote it down incorrectly on one of them which I had to call out. When the only other customer was spoken to, they apologized for getting his order mixed up as well...

Went to Dairy Queen in Byron, MN. Food was great. After eating went to order ice cream. My dad ordered a butterscotch Sundae. The gentleman that took our order was training and no fault to his. He got a sundae with butterscotch dipped topping. Which wasn’t a big deal. We just asked for a new one. A girl with black hair and a black stocking hat. Started yelling at my mom stating it was our fault and we didn’t specify what kind of butter scotch she wanted. She continued to yell as she shoved the correct one at us. She was yelling so loud she had my mom in tears. A girl claiming she was a manager who refused to give us any names of who she was or the girl yelling. No one had name tags on. The only name I have is Susan on the receipt. Will continue to share this as I don’t usually write reviews or badmouth anyone but...

Stopped in to order a Blizzard. The kid in ball cap that was at the register had a bad attitude and appeared to be grumpy. I asked him if there was a military discount before I ordered and he stammered "NO!" This seemed odd because every other Dairy Queen across southern MN has one. Inplaved my order for the medium Blizzard and was over $7.00. I received the blizzard after a bit and hit the road. I noticed they didn't turn it upside down like every other Dairy Queen does. The Blizzard was runny but I was in a hurry and didn't want to deal with that kid again. All of the other Dairy Queen's I visit have friendly smiling staff. I do not recommend eating here by the way the staff treated me and the quality...
