I cannot believe the way we were just treated. We come in this place ALLLLLLL the time with our entire family and always spend 75+ dollars here. I will NEVER be back to give them our hard earned money. My mother asked for warm syrup because the syrup was extremely cold and one guy named Gavin just stated he wasn't going to do it for us. Then we asked our server who always looks like shes pissed off at the world, got us our warm syrup. Then the old lady who either owns it or has been there for several years sat in the main area by the kitchen and bar talking crap about our whole family, loud with tables all around them and loud enough for us to hear. We are ALSO a family who are $20+ tippers and that didnt happen this time. I left them the $4 that was handed back to me from change and put it on the table and Gavin goes on to say that "they didnt need our" tip nor did we need to leave one. So now they lost customers that come in all the time due to their hateful, disrespectful customer service, the waitress always looking unhappy and short with us, and also for them sitting there blatantly talking crap about our family. We will NEVER step foot back in there and will NEVER support that café again. From one small business owner to another, I WOULD NEVER treat any of my customers the way we got treated today and would NEVER speak about them the way they did. Also, if our employees were talking that way and being that way, they would be fired. Unfortunately, you cant fire a crappy owner and that's how she treats...
Read moreThe food here is good, but I can’t say the same about the service. Absolutely terrible service at Bucky’s Cafe in Caddo Mills. The staff seemed disinterested, no refills on drinks, and no one ever came back to the table to see if we needed anything else after our food was dropped off by someone from the kitchen. Definitely won’t be coming back. I needed to add a to go order to my tab, but the server never came back to the table. I made eye contact with her several times and even festered her to the table, she rolled her eyes at me and kept going. They can’t use busy for an excuse because she was very attentive to the tables that contained her “regulars” and friends and family. Never got a check, just had to go stand and wait at the register until someone acknowledged me. Every time someone would walk in to be seated the servers would roll their eyes and sigh because that was more customers they had to wait on. You’d think that in today’s economy businesses would be grateful to be busy, as that ensures they’ll stay open. I really hated to write this review because it is close to home and the food is good, but this is the 3rd bad experience and seems to get worse...
Read moreNew to area and gave this place a try. Parking is ample and there is more seating than appears from the outside. It's your welcome small town diner feel, loved all the funny signs on the wall and the welcome in, sit were you please. It was a very hectic Saturday morning breakfast, obviously filled with some loyal regulars. We got a table immediately and even though it was nearly a full house service was quick and efficient and coffee refills kept on coming. Hubs had the CFS breakfast and I had the hobo omlet. The portions are large and very fairly priced. Will say the CFS was middle of the road, have had better but definitely have had worse and with the portion size and sides completely worth it. The omlet was delicious packed full of breakfast meats and veggies- it was huge, definitely enough to share. Btwn the two meals the hashbrowns, toast and biscuits n gravy on the side were tasty. All real hearty, half the omler carried home as leftovers and kept us satisfied until dinner even working outside the rest of the day. Definitely look forward to returning to try more...
