Los Gorditos — Restaurant in Caguas

I came here once and the food was ok, but the service terrible; I really had to use the restroom and they said it was only for employees. Today I tried once more but it was impossible: the door was closed and a sign posted said to call in your order. The phone rang for 10minutes with no answer and the drive through went around the block and was snail slow. I looked and there were lots of other places to eat right across the street and that's what I did. 5 minutes later I was sitting down eating great Chinese across the street. They even let me use their restroom! 😃 I will NEVER go back to Los Gorditos, especially when there's much better places to sit down and eat...

If your trip has you passing through the city of Caguas, this is the place to stop and eat the traditional mofongo con carne frita (mashed green plantains with fried pork) at a budget price for an excellent meal. Don't know what the hype was about. Drive-thru was over an hour. Food was mediocre at best with little to no flavor. Especially the mofongo which was on the tough side. The churrasco was like old bubble gum. Just nothing really great to say except for the beans which were the best out of all we ordered. I definitely do not recommend this place.
