RIVAS Real Mexican Grill — Restaurant in California City

For the record, I have only been here once on a Sunday around 2 PM. It wasn't too crowded or busy so I got my order in a reasonable time. I ordered a shrimp soft taco, a chicken soft taco, and a large horchata. The shrimp taco was great! I enjoyed the taste, quality, and it had great portions of everything on the taco. The chicken taco was STACKED! Not sure if it was an accident or they liked me so they hooked it up, but you could make two tacos out of it. I will say, I enjoy the chicken less than the shrimp. Not amazing but not terrible, at all. Still enjoyed it. I will say that what you see in the picture is exactly what you get. If you don't want guac on your taco, make sure to tell them to take it off. I love guac so I was all for it. Green salsa is a little runny but the flavor is still great woth a great mild to medium spice depending on who you ask haha. Horchata was tasty and I enjoyed it. I spent about $13 and I am full/happy. I for sure am coming back...

Great deals and I love the ice and Jamaica. Service leaves much to be desired

Spent about $60 in the last 2 day there.

The salad has stale chips added to it. I called to let them know, did not request a new salad, and still enjoyed it.

Today I decided to try it again, without the chips and also got a burrito. Burrito was soggy and the inside of the bag was wet.

When I called, the lovely cashier let me know the burrito was fine, it was something I’d done to cause that, but she would talk to the cook

I told her thank you, be blessed, we will dry the burrito off with a paper towel.

Went here today for a torta and horchata, they were out of tortas but I was fine with 2x steak tacos. $15 got me a very filling and delicious meal. The steak was tender and cooked perfectly, and the ingredients were fresh. Fresh lime slices and green and red sauce available self-serve. Then, a few hours later I realized that I didn't have my wallet... Freak out moment. I backtracked and when I got to Rivas the store was closed, drive through still open, but I asked about a wallet and the employees had it! I had some cash in it, nothing was taken.
