This restaurant has the most disgusting payment and customer service practices I've ever dealt with. My husband ordered our food for pick up on 10/28. My husband specifically told the person who took the order to add extra meat to the cocido meal. When i got there, i was again confirmed by the lady at the counter of the extra cocido. However, when I arrived home, there was no extra meat. 5 meats total was in the soup plus a small amount of veggies, etc. I was so upset. On top of this, they added a $5.89 charge to the $35.16 payment made via my debit card. I did not put any $ tip, nor was there any signs of a fee applied if paying via credit card or debit card. I tried calling the restaurant, but they would not answer my calls and would let go to voice mail. We ate here before and I let the amount of $80 go even though the full meal price was $77 between me and my husband, but this time I'm really upset. WARNING DO NOT ORDER OR EAT AT THIS RESTAURANT IF YOU ARE PAYING WITH YOUR CREDIT CARD OR DEBIT CARD THEY WILL RIP YOU OF YOUR MONEY. $5.89 MAY NOT BE MUCH BUT FOR SOMEONE LIKE ME WHO BARELY HAVE $ LEFT OVER AFTER PAYING BILLS...
Read moreAfter not having Armando's for a couple of months, we returned after visiting my Comadre Irene's place of rest,( Forest Lawn Covina Hills Cemetery ) for today is her birthday, 7-7-66. , it was just okay. The Carnitas were a little hard ,but everything else was satisfactory. The wait was not too long and service was good, out lady server was nice and informative. . Although, I'll have to admit not the same business as it was on Valley Blvd in San Gabriel. The gentleman at the Valley spot were outgoing, entertaining and spoke to us like they were friends, made us feel as of importance. They are located on Garvey Ave just a few blocks East of Rosemead Blvd in So. El Monte on the left side heading East on Garvey Ave. I do not recommendation this place if you're a picky person....

Good restaurant. The owner is also one of the servers. Saw a few Mexican families and couples enjoying the music and the food
The chilaquiles in green sauce ( tortillas cut in squares swimming in green salsa de tomatillo and served with rice, beans, two over easy eggs and sour cream are ok.
They have traditional water flavors like Jamaica ( red Hiacinth flower) water and Horchata. Both good choices
