I have my concerns regarding this franchise. Specifically, the person working drive thru register and the shift lead. I do not believe the shift lead is a manager due to her lack of knowledge in refunding a credit card transaction. I ordered two double Diablo combos, which were advertised as $18.95 each. When pulling up to the window, I was told it was $46 and change. ( I investigate and diagnose problems for a living, so I was curious how this would play out). I gave her my card, and she swipped it and handed it back to me with no receipt. I stayed quiet. She then returns with our food and hands it to us with no receipt. Now I'm curious. I asked for the receipt, which it appeared she had sitting next to her on the counter. It did not appear she removed it from the printer. I noticed on receipt that each combo is priced at $21 and change. I advised her that the menue stated it was $18.95. She said she would have to look to confirm, as she is looking and talking to another person that I can not see. After a minute, it appears she is not going to do anything, so I tell her I'll go double-check. Her response is to take a picture. I go take a picture of the board and go back in and begin speaking with a lady who appears to be a shift lead. She advised me that I ordered the double Angus version, not the regular double version. I tell her no, that's not what I ordered or wanted. She says ok I need the food back. Go back to the car and get food. I give her the food back, and they are going to remake. The lead begins doing something in the register and hands me $6, saying this is the difference. I'm now even more curious due to the fact that it is an exact amount. I asked her for a receipt of the refund. She says she can't do it. I explained that I work for a corporation, and the card I used is a corporate card, and I need receipts for all transactions. I advised her to refund the initial transaction and re charge for the correct. She seemed a little confused. I handed her the $6 back. She then gets in the phone and calls someone for help on how to do the refund. It's interesting how she was quick to hand cash back but does not know how to refund a card transaction. She figures it out and issues a refund, I think the receipt she gave me does not say a refund, and I haven't seen it clear the transaction history of my corporate card. After this, I am on my way.
What does this sound like? From experience, this appears to be a team effort of employees to overcharge and steal from customers and then steal inventory from the business. They overcharge on credit card transactions, keep receipt, void or modify items, then at end of shift when balancing drawer it is over, so they ballance it out by removing cash. Recommendation to upper management or franchise owner, check your inventory counts, if you are losing inventory and have no clue where it's going, this is where it's going.
I also noticed that the cooks in the back were confused when remaking order. They were confused when they had to put regular pattys, like it's something they don't do for that specific burger.

Read moreI’m a truck driver with my dad, we constantly stop at the truck stop and here and there we will go to Carl’s Jr. for some food. Every single time we go it’s the same thing. The workers dare always talking amongst themselves and we wait patiently for them to finally take our order. One of the previous time we came they took 40 minutes to get our order, I would understand if it was a busy day but there was only one other customer who was already sitting with his food. No one at the drive thru either. We left saying we’d never come back, but today 12/16/2021 we decided to go in as we were hungry. Same workers were there, again they took a long while before they asked if we were ready to order. I proceeded to order a spicy chicken meal Small and a medium charbroiled chicken meal we paid about $23. Then the lady handed me the drinks and they were both small and I told her that one was medium she then stated that I had said both small. On the way home from LA we went through the drive through and my daughter ran in after to use the restroom. We ordered two diet cokes and two Fried Zucchini. They gave us 2 regular Dr Peppers, and rhe Zucchini was not fully cooked. When we bit into them we got what tasted like a mouth full of batter. My daughter was going to complain and ask for a new order and the correct drinks, but after she used the restroom we decided to cut our losses and high tail it out of there. Why?
