By far the worst experience I've ever had at a restaurant. I've been in this establishment and have ordered food sit in and the service was terrible. They forget to come back and then they forget that they forgot to come back. Well I decided it must be better if I did take out so I ordered the chili relleno one of my personal favorites. I remember that I needed sour cream so I asked them how much it was and she said 3.00 and that's expensive for sour cream so I thought I must get a nice amount for that money.. So when I went in there to pick up my order I noticed there was no sour cream. I said oh where's the sour cream she was very smug and said it's in there. And I looked and it's not. So I asked her to please get me some and that she t o o k a long time and brought the sour cream back, and it was the smallest amount of sour cream I've ever seen in my life. In a very small little container I think it's what my mom would call a smidgen. when I got to the car I sat down and put the food down and then I noticed it was spilling out of the container. The container was so flimsy that it was nearly impossible for me do not spill it. I went back into the store and show them what happened and she said it was my fault. She said oh look on the camera you'll see it's your fault she said for me to look at the camera and we'll see that it's my fault. I knew these were flimsy but wow. I was upset she had an attitude. She acted very disrespectful and like she didn't care at all this may be a popular restaurant because the food isn't bad but it's not worth it to get treated like this. I left my food on the counter in the plastic bag. the cashier is always right not the customer according to them period. you would think she was doing me a favor eating in her restaurant by the way she was acting the only words I can think of are diva. I'm serious the most disrespectful server I've ever met. The cocky disrespectful look on her face was more than I can stand. I've actually worked in restaurants before myself and her behavior was appalling. If there's a manager that works at this restaurant and looks at the person who worked this day please see who works on the schedule and be aware of how she treats your customers I would rather not even eat the food she gave me and I was...
Read moreStopped by on the way home. First thing was not even a hello or welcome, it was sit wherever you like. What do you want to drink? Within 2 minutes..are you ready to order? NO, I just got the menu. 1 minute later..are you ready to order?. I chose enchiladas...if you want meat its 2 dollars more..wow. Every Mexican restaurant in the planet charges one price no matter the filling OMG.. What the hell do you call this??not an enchilada by any means. Meat in a tortilla folded over like a quesadilla. No sauce just a pile of sheredded lettuce on top. The refried beans were a joke.. Right color and flavor but pulverized into pure watery liquid. Ordered a relleno on the side and got charged for a meal even though it was by itself. The tortillas were packaged rather than hand made. The restaurant spent no time talking to any customers as to establish a report or possible return client. They made no apology for the presentation of the meals. Served mararine rather than butter. The salsa was spoiled..tomatoes I suspect. I smelled something amuck and actually thought it was the man sitting behind us but when I tasted the salsa I realized it was the cause. No point in telling the waitress because she stated that she was not into Mexican food and whatever was wrong was just the way they cook. Now..I do know my food..both my brothers ran high end restaurants in SF and Los Angeles and my ex .owned a Mexican restaurant/ night club in SF. I love mom and pop places but this place needs a few business tips if they're going to make it. Like don't advertise a dinner then figure out how to screw over the customer adding the ingredients as extras. I won't be back. P.S. we both didn't feel well half way through eating. 2 dinners 2 drinks....over 50 dollars to...
Read moreThis is our new pit stop when we travel from Humboldt to Sacramento on Highway 20. The burritos are huge! We picked up two on our way to fly out of Sacramento and could only eat one so we brought one to Hawaii and enjoyed it there! On our way back we stopped again and it really is a great road food choice for that drive! The hot salsa is a green salsa and is very good, I will be getting an order of that for later use next time! Great staff and a clean dining area with TV to watch if you are alone and a full bar that joins the restaurant. We were driving, so we didn't get anything from the bar. Perhaps sometime we can try a cocktail when we are not in a rush. We did get horchata both times too which is another nice treat for the drive and theirs is perfectly made. They were kind enough to double wrap our burrito order because we were eating in the car and we had the spicy green sauce added to the burrito on the second trip through so we didn't have to try and do that in the car driving. Please drive safe on the 20 and enjoy the beautiful scenery and local food options like this wonderful...
