"Food that transcends space and time"
A humble cheeseburger, one that is perfectly proportioned. You start with a proper thick patty that's been expertly packed and shaped. Fresh, crispy lettuce, and an thin slice of onion that doesn't overpower the senses when you unwrap your meal. Your palette stays dry so you can taste layers through each bite, and individual sauces add to the experience like a crescendo in a symphony. There's no excess of any ingredient, condiments stay in place, marching in single file to the beat of your chewing. To your delight there is nothing in the wrapper, or on your plate, no wasted cheese to lament over, and nothing on your hands (or your shirt). By the end, your final bite will be moist, layered with all the ingredients, rich tomato juices. Your auspicious reviewer was shocked and awed that the construction of this burger stayed true throughout it's consumption.
Verily, this cheeseburger deserves praise, few have made an impression, for good or for bad, but this was too much to compel me to write a page-long review, after hypnotised the sensory overload and detail of a simple...
Read moreLocated in the quaint little town of Rodeo, D's Giant Burger is definitely worth a visit, or 20. I had a western cheeseburger, doubled up on patties, and just wow, each bite sent me to hamburger heaven. My wife had a chef salad, which was bigger than her head, literally. We shared a chili-cheese fries. Every bite reminded me of coney island.
The next time we travel through to the bay area, I will be sure to post pictures of the very good food, this last time I was just too hungry to let the...
Read moreFind it hard to believe this place is rated with a 4 or above. I ordered the chicken fried steak sandwich. I sat at the bar, all the food they prepared came either out of a plastic bag, can or a frozen product in a box. I at least expected my chicken fried patty to be fresh. It also came out of a packed frozen box. For the price you pay, you might as well go to jack in the box pay less and be just as satisfied. Even the chili beans were in the can being heated up on the grill still in the can. I am not saying the food was bad but it does not merit a 4 star. $14.50 for a sandwich, fries and a drink. Dissapointed with the quality and the price for...
