We're looking for a good pizza delivery option so we decided to give Warrior a try tonight. We ordered a meat calzone, a cheese calzone, and two cannoli. When the order arrived, it was a meat calzone, two cannoli, and . . . a mystery slice of cheesecake. No cheese calzone. We called and they said our only option was to drive out there to pick up the missing calzone. It was their error and we had already paid the delivery fee, so it seemed a bit much to ask us to do the work of correcting their error. I asked them politely to please deliver the missing calzone, and they said no. They said instead they would give us "a free one" the next time we came in. I told them this was our first time trying them, and, given the missing food, we were unlikely to come back. I (again, politely-- I've worked food service and know how it is) asked for a refund. The person on the phone said she needed to ask her manager, but she didn't know where he was. A missing manager during dinner rush? Never a good sign. She said the manager would call us about the refund. Over a half hour later, still no call. WTH. It's not like $10 for one calzone (+ tax and delivery) is going to break me, but it's WILD that they just took our money without delivering the food or...
Read moreWe’re new to the area and looking for a new good local pizza - this is it.
The sauce is amazing. The dough is thin and crispy. It tastes fresh and made with love.
In fact, we noticed they wrote that in the box. Actually, they hand write that in every single box. We know because we ordered 2 small pizzas.
I went there to pick up the pizza and you can tell the place used to be full of life. It has games and tables. It looks like no one’s has been in there in a long time but they keep it clean. Even the old carpet looked like it had been recently vacuumed.
Then I met the employee. I might be wrong but I’m pretty sure this is a family run business. Either way, it’s clear there is a family putting their own blood sweat and tears to make good food and provide a living for themselves doing it.
This is the kind of family business that needs our support! You want to support local businesses? Stop ordering the usual dominoes or round table. Yes the app is convenient but look - we ordered our pizza here online and it was ready within 20 minutes. That competes with...
Read moreOld school arcade games line this hole in the wall pizza joint, and you may miss it if you blink, so don't blink. Their pizza is hand stretched, and our last one was literally larger than the box it was placed in. They are definitely large and in charge. Regular crust on ours seemed more like a NY this crust, but that's perfect for folding, and that's exactly what we did. They have vegan pepperoni, which I have not tasted yet, but as the resident vegetarian in the family, it's going to be my next order. I had a veggie calzone, and it was incredibly full and absolutely delicious.
My family is looking forward to the next time we have pizza that is not ridiculously overpriced in the Bay, and this is the...
