Denny's — Restaurant in California

We had wonderful service, the manager was lovely. We started our meal by ordering milkshakes (the birthday cake shake and a custom chocolate Oreo shake) I was extremely excited that they could mix two types of shakes and was anxious to try mine, so when it came I started drinking it down quickly. I hadn't noticed the chip on the edge of the glass, and when I did I thought nothing of it. It was just a very small chip after all, and I figured they hadn't realized it. I started drinking my shake again, and as I was chewing (that strange half-chew you do with shakes) I hit something very small and hard...it turned out to be the tiniest piece of glass, no bigger than a grain of coarse sand...I set it on my napkin and waited patiently for the waitress to return for our orders, and explained sheepishly what had happened. I wasn't upset or honestly even concerned. I hadn't been hurt and there was nothing wrong with anything else we got, so I thought they would just make me a new shake and that would be it. The manager came over after we ordered our food and asked what happened so we told her and she said she would take care of it and make sure it didn't happen again, we (me, my fiancee , and the waitress) all laughed the whole thing off. It was just such a strange occurrence. Well we finish eating (about $35-40 worth of food) and wait for the bill. We were waiting about 15 minutes so I hailed our waitress and asked about it. It turned out our whole meal was free of charge. No bill, no hassle, no questions. I am utterly astounded. I had figured at most we would be given a discount. The food was all wonderful, and both shakes were delicious, including the replacement. I will definitely be back as soon...

The 🍛food🍴was fresh🔥 and the portions were how they were supposed to be.The service was great polite, good timing,and the 😇waitress checked on us and kept our drinks🥛full.Also it was a clean environment which is nice especially in the🚽 bathrooms🚻because this is off of the freeway and you know how those places can get with high amounts of travelers frequently coming through at all hours of the day🌞and night🌌and tour buses🚌🚌etc.plus it was the weekend on a holiday weekend.I don't recall the waitresses name that served us but it was on Saturday August 31st and it was her day off on the schedule I heard👂them say and we got her for our server just by good🍀luck because she came in because one of the regular customers that comes in had called☎📞 ahead a couple💑with a kid👪 called📞☎ prior to coming in to see👀who was working and to say that they were coming to eat,it was a middle aged Caucasian woman with sandy blonde colored hair probably in her late 40's early to mid 50's and as I was leaving as she was sitting the small👪 family that had called☎📞earlier to request her if she was on shift and the waitress was just a 🍭🍧sweet 🍰🍨as can be.It's nice😇to have people like that to serve you because customer service doesn't seem to matter in this generation anymore I use to be a server and EVERYONE wants to feel like they matter and like they're important it makes people want to keep coming back again.I want you to know that I am guilty of being 1 of those people who never takes the time🕓to do these things and that the service was that good so THANK💐YOU AND KEEP UP THE GOOD👍WORK DENNY'S👏I will definitely be coming back again.GREAT👍JOB👏👏👏👀 see you again...

Went to this Dennys with my family and I ordered a hot coffee that was brought to me cold. My sons hot chocolate was hot and the iced tea was perfectly iced. There were about 5-6 young ladies on staff with only 2 actively helping customers and working tables. The rest were unseen for the most part of my visit. I had asked for a ranch. My server accidently dropped it on the floor where the lady making sure all of the silverware stocked continuously walked over top of the mess instead of assisting her fellow co-worker clean up the mess. This young lady made sure to push all the customers off on the two ladies busy assisting a business full of about 10 tables of customers. The burger I ordered came out tasting freezer-burned and it was, as the coffee was, cold. My husband's food was also served to us cold. There was one tiny mashed piece of avacado and 1 plus some crumble of bacon. The ranch I had ordered never came. No other condiments were offered. The waitress only refilled drinks once and both of her appearances she flitted out without too much care on how our experience was going. In fact, not once did any of the staff ask about our experience. They still charged me for my cold coffee. This is probably one of the worst Denny's I've ever been to. Definitely not the type of customer service I'd be paying my employees...
