Golden Donut — Restaurant in California

It’s sad to see good things come to an end. We all knew the previous owners that made Golden Donut a staple in the Orcutt community. Friendly, sassy, always smiling even at 5:30am! I wish them all the best in their new endeavors. With that said, my go to donut shop is no longer. If anyone can suggest another one please do so. The plain old fashion didn’t have the same look, texture or flavor. There is a slightly bitter aftertaste instead of that sugary sensation. The chocolate bar as well has shrunk about a 1/2 inch or so and not as dense. I’m sure even the old timers and loyal customers have noticed the absence of the owners. The new owners just want to churn out their donuts without considering what made Golden Donut a nice, friendly and welcoming place to visit:...

Been coming here for Donuts since the late 90's! Great experience every time with old owners and new. Everyone is really friendly and always remember names.
