Gorilla Rock Tacos — Restaurant in California

Driving down 49 I was looking to stop for lunch when I saw a sign that said "tacos" and "craft beer". This was clearly the place I was looking for.

We parked and went in. The woman taking orders was super friendly and helpful. I got the river tacos and a beer. While the beer was being poured my daughter found some board games. Me and the family headed for the patio where my wife and daughter played Battleship (while I relayed ship locations to the kid behind moms back).

Unfortunately for the kid she was on her own when the tacos arrived. All I could muster at that point were a series of joyful grunts as I devoured my plate of tacos. I think my wife was sort of disgusted with how I was eating them but she took the vows and she's stuck with me. The tacos were ridiculously good.

I can't wait to go back and try...

I stopped here around 1:00pm on a Friday after we had checked into Ponderosa RV Resort campground. There was a big "closed" sign outside so I went to their website, which said that they open at 11:00am on Fridays. Huh? There were also no business hours posted on the door. I called and it went to voicemail. I then sent a private Facebook message and someone responded with a purple dragon head and stated "LOL." Wow what a professional response folks! I had to send a follow-up message to finally learn that they open at 3:00pm on Fridays. Good grief what an ordeal! I stopped by later to finally get some tacos. Food was good. Service could have been better. Ordered 4 drinks (2 adults/2 kids) charged us 4x beers ($32) . When we ordered 2 beers and 2 sodas nobody mentioned anything.. When I later found out they charged 4x beers, their lousy excuse was :” ooh I thought you were going to order 2x2 beers” I don’t like dishonest people so hence a 2 stars review.

Reply: So Im in front of your counter with 2 adults and 2 kids, I order 4 drinks (after the cashier told me all drinks are the same price), you assume that I will have 4 beers and the kids will have nothing ?!?! When we order 2 beers and 2 sodas at the bar, nobody mentioned anything.
