Mother's day. We had an issue paying to park. The attendant was missing. And envelope instructions were unclear. He did eventually appear, but he seemed quite high. The grandaughter and girls had fun. I tried to fish off left of the beach area. No fish, but I went thru the motions, and it was satisfying until... Guy, with german Shepard, showed up and started playing fetch across my line in the water. Not wanting to hurt the dog, I tried to make it clear that there were sharp hooks, and the owner didn't seem to care. So I'm sitting there, line out. And here comes the guy with the drone boat, and he's running it full speed up and down the bank. Of course, he runs it into my $25 braided, unbreakable line. Thus finishing my fishing and most likely ruined his toy boat. It costs $10 to park here. It's better here during weekdays, but avoid holidays and weekends...

We only spent a few moments here but gleaned they have bathroom facilites, a soccer field and plenty of parking. The kids all gravitated to the little 'work out' area because the field was closed for reseeding. It was hilarious! Kids will play...

It's also a popular pull-out location for rafting trips that start at Coloma. I love this park.
What keeps it at 4 stars is that it lacks a playground and the water does have a current, so kids who aren't strong swimmers should be watched. Also, there is a fee for parking (usually the toll booth is empty, so this is based on the...
