We had the beef brisket and.potato pie, chicken pot pie, apple lattice pie a la mode, ham and cheese croissant because they ran out the chicken salad one. The portions were small for the prices except for the ice cream. The beef brisket was delicious and had a savory taste but you couldn't really taste any pie crust. It was like just mashed potatoes. The chicken pot pie had a nice savory flavor. The croissant was bland and basic. You could get the same thing at a donut shop or maje a better one at hime.The apple lattice pie was amazing with french vanilla ice cream and the crust was out of this world. All I can say is WOW... It has a very colonial style to it. Interior is nice an cozy which is only lit by candlelight and sunlight. The waitresses are dressed in the era and are extremely nice. Food is absolutely amazing. The appetizer "Stilton Cheese" it to die for. It can be a meal unto itself. Homemade English bread, Fresh Apples (Riley Farms) and AMAZING cheese dip!! Simply put. the menu is small but absolutely delicious. Main Course Salad and Scottish Pie was totally perfect after eating the appetizer. My family has just begun a new yearly tradition. Hawkes Head- the Autumnal tradition. Did I mention Beautiful- Red- yellow Orange, Green leaves EVERYWHERE.....

The ambiance was priceless. Felt like stepping right into an old tavern. The employees dress in costumes over the entire property. Live music, real candles, wooden planks on the floor and fun pewter mugs. The food was delicious, a little too salty and not enough for the price but I guess you are paying for the experience more than anything. Bathrooms were clean and spacious...they had a changing station for little ones. All in all it was really neat and worth the drive. Plan to take the hayride, pick apples and spend the whole day at...
