You can't really rate McDonald's on the quality of their food. It's more or less the same everywhere. It's McDonald's. It is what it is.
I'm giving this particular one a low score based on my experience with their drive-thru. If there are a lot of people lined up, what they'll do is send one of their employees out to take orders. That's great... except they take your order before you get a chance to even look at the menu.
If you have a regular order, that's fine. But if there's a new item on the menu, you're not going to know to ask for it. If something doesn't cross your mind at that particular moment, you'll neglect to order it. I just don't think it's a very smart way of taking orders, especially when having your order in one or two cars length quicker doesn't mean you're going to get your food any faster. If anything, you'll possibly have to wait longer. That's because if you want to change or add on to your order, you now have to wait until you drive up to the payment window.
It's just annoying. Take my order at the menu, not before it.
That gripe aside, they have messed up my order a few times when going to the drive thru. One time not including the Sausage Egg McMuffin with cheese we had with a very big order. Another, not including the chicken nuggets I added on to the order (but keeping the Bic Mac I canceled, so I guess it balances out). I've worked in fast food that much faster paced than any McDonald's I've ever been to on what they'd call a busy day. It's not hard to ensure that a customer receive's every item they order. It's also not hard to remember to ask the customer if they'd like ketchup with their order or to ensure that they have enough napkins.

I ordered a McDouble no pickles no mustard as did the drive-thru worker. and because they're buy one get one for a dollar I ordered another one with everything on it. now I'm not trying to put anyone down but God damn how hard is it to read a piece of paper and follow the instructions? let me tell you it must be super difficult because this happens all the time at McDonald's. there is a serious lack of communication because I no habla Espanol & Cooks NO habla English therefore I'm assuming it's hard to read English as well. and like I said I'm not putting anybody down I'm 100% Mexican my damn self. long story shortI get two cheeseburgers with ketchup only and mustard that was wiped off one. I'm allergic to Mustard Seed I cannot stand the taste of mustard. I don't care how many times you wipe it off and cover it with ketchup you can still taste mustard! so both of those hamburgers got thrown in the garbage now because I wasn't going to drive all the way back over there and it wouldn't have helped anyways because they probably would have spit in my food for complaining. and the one time I did call about a completely wrong order the young lady who also did not know English pretended she was the manager, put the phone down took an order and then hung up on me. did I mention that the hamburger patty was as known as a piece of paper and very questionable how much ground beef is actually in that straggly Patty. Read moreThe reality of this mcdonalds location is that it needs all new staff, I work down the street so the convienence for lunch was great, but after calling corporate 4 times in regards to the bad service that is given here I would never suggest this location to anyone. Not only can they not get orders correct, but in my opinion there is no customer service skills and the management team is rude and non willing to make a customer happy. I also feel that a language barrier is causing a lot of mess ups with the orders which in turn causes unhappy customers. I am a manager myself and I am very disappointed in the staff at this location and can say if it was my staff acting this way and that include management there would be some discipline being done. I don't normally give reviews of this nature, but one or two times things happening ok I can get past that but 4 different times, and the response from management staff is "there is nothing I can do about that" is a wrong answer in my opinion, and if corporate does not stand in and take this call seriously this time I might just have to take it a step further, seeing as it is a world wide company.
