We enjoyed a very nice brunch here recently. There was outdoor seating available which was nice but small. We opened the large umbrella over the little table at some point to keep it out of my son's face. When closed, the bottom edge was too close for comfort and convo. My son ordered the country fried steak and eggs with biscuits and gravy. Although we both thought the gravy could have had more sausage, the biscuits and gravy were pretty delicious. I didn't try the steak but he loved it. My meal of chicken and waffles was quite tasty. The bone-in chicken was incredíbly crispy, large, and delicious. The waffle was cooked to perfection, also with great crispness and a lovely golden brown color. The details I longed for, maple syrup and browned butter, were not present. The lovely waffle was a bit lacking in flavor. Still, the food earns a solid 4 stars and minor adjustments could bring more. Service...

Haven't been here since it was called Francos flapjacks. Boy were we disappointed. Came in a Sunday morning, only 1 other table has people, so we got seated right away. I got chicken & waffles, wife got eggs, bacon and country potatoes. Nothing had flavor. Eggs were bland, potatoes had very little flavor, and the waffle was nothing special. The only thing that was ok was the bacon, and chicken, which was a bit too crispy for my liking. And I never got a refill of coffee, even though there were 2 waiters and 3 other tables full. The only time they stopped by after giving us the food was for the check. Very poor service and food. Plus, the prices are outrageous. $15 for bacon and eggs? Id expect much better quality food for those pricrs. We probably won't be...

When I walk into Franco's The smell of fresh coffee is the first thing .I wipe my feet on the door mat because I know that they put a lot of work in keeping the restaurant clean .because Alpine is a small town with a small town atmosphere. They use My first name and greet me with coffee sr ? The coffee has a rich tast with out a burned or bitter flavor. Rich taste. The stake and eggs is my main stay breakfast .the stake is a generas cut felay more of a dinner stake than a topical breakfast stake .the Orange juice is fresh squeezed. Every day ! And the survives is celebrity quality. !I hope no one reads this so I can get a good seat.! PS Alpine is my home town .this review...

As we headed out of San Diego we decided to stop for some breakfast in Alpine. We stumbled onto this little Gem. We were seated right away and received our drink order right away. The waitress was very friendly took care of our needs. The food came out hot and delicious. Now the one drawback is that this place is small so I wouldn't plan on bringing to many people with you. But I do recommend stopping in and trying them out.

Relaxed, cozy spot in Alpine tucked in the back corner of the shopping center right off of the tavern exit. They have delicious food and seating indoors and outdoors. Patios areas are dog friendly so long as your puppy is leashed. Lots of great options to choose from! Definitely a must-stop before or after a hike or just a great place to have breakfast!
