I'm a local and love supporting our restaurants. I saw the good reviews and thought I'd give this a shot while my son was at soccer practice. Upon walking in I waited per the signs instructions to be seated. Eventually I was told to sit anywhere, so I chose the bar. I sat waiting for a menu. Although the waitress stood two feet away there was no interaction. I watched her walk past, provide menus for another table that had come in, take drink orders, etc. And there I sat, patiently waiting, and waiting, and waiting. Another man had come in right before me and was at the bar also. He wasnt provided a menu or asked for drinks the entire time either. There were three menus sitting on the bar but it couldn't have been everything they served. One was for kids, one was for 60 and older, and another has three items (I can't imagine they serve three items total to their customer base). Eventually I gave up and walked out after over ten minutes of nothing. The food on people's plates looked delicious. Wish I was served so I could have tried it. I went up to Deep Creek Drive-In, where I've had great service and great food before, and enjoyed another...

Let me take you back to my childhood. It was the summer of 1996 in northern Michigan. The air was crisp and the waters blue. The sun was shining and the scent of life was in the air. I was with my father, a strong willed man, and we were out on the pontoon boat fishing for bluegill. The scene was bliss and peaceful. I had just learned to fish from the old man and hooked the first one of the day. I was so excited I could barely reel in the monster. Imagine your perfect day from childhood and place yourself here, at Old Country Coffee Shop. This is feeling you get when walking into the quaint diner. Nostalgia fill your nostrils and you embrace your inner self. I have had the experience of attending the small but noble establishment and let me tell you, I am moved. I have felt feelings never before felt by man, colors that have never been imagined. What is life when I am here? Who am I? These are the questions I ask myself, but the answer is always the same. I am home. My heart is here. No where else I would rather be than in OCCS. 10/10 would...

Im a local, and a regular customer. When you walk in there is a sign that says 'wait to be seated' however on slower times you can seat yourself wherever you like. The windows offer a great view of the town good for conversation starters. Great service most days, food never dissapoints me and they do their best to satisfy the customers!! Options are vast but well made, a LARGE portion of the menu is made from scratch with an excpetion of a few things.

They have the choice of senior menus, specialty menus , and a luch menu. Drink portions are a good size. Some food portions are a bit large but well worth it. You can watch alot of food being cooked by the chefs on the grill thats right behind the counter. Love this place , its good for family meals, lone meals and a good atmosphere.

PLEASE STOP BY...

This was a nice little diner in Running Springs. It has all the quintessential diner things from the old signs and memorabilia on the wall to the classic breakfast dishes (a nice break from all the trendy try-hards in SD). It is busy (on the weekends) but the staff were nice and the atmosphere is welcoming. Not much room if you are waiting, but the turnaround on the tables is pretty quick and efficient. They do have a lot of Mexican dishes too on top of the traditional ones. It makes for lots of great options to choose from! I got an omelette which was delicious but I would not get the side of biscuits and gravy if I am in the area again. Hash browns were great and they ask how crispy you want them.

A quaint small restaurant with only one "run-ragged" waiter. Wished I took pictures, they give you plentiful portions, but breakfast dishes were so-so. We ordered "take out", and the biscuits and gravy was not as "yummy" as reviews stated. They do give you ALOT of gravy. The avocado "benny" was ok, but the poached egg was "I don't know what it was" egg. It just sat on top like a melted ball. I barely tasted the yoke. Was there one? Hashed browns were kind of cooked like melted potatoes. Not quite hash browns, not mashed potatoes. Just not flavorful. No need to go on. I gave it a high 4-star rating because the "only" waiter was working his butt off.
