I'm not gonna comment on the vibe here as I'm obviously not the target demographic. People were having a good time. If I want to have a good time and enjoy a sit down brunch I'll go over to Heavenly in Scotts Valley. For food I got the classic benedict and a raspberry tart. The English muffins were as soggy as can be after walking 4 minutes to my backyard. There wasn't much in the way of hollandaise. It had broken and soaked into the bread. The eggs were covered in paprika which surprised me as I wasn't trying to eat devilled eggs today. The eggs were poached to absolute perfection though. The flavor was SO rich and creamy. Vaguely reminiscent of the eggs from my old chickens. The Canadian bacon was steamed not grilled but still very tasty. Hollandaise was hard to get a taste of but freshly made (hence it broke) and had a good flavor. I did enjoy it overall but not enough to get it again. I got roasted potatoes as my side. They weren't crispy though and some were too hard to chew. I didn't eat them. I got a cup of their house made hot salsa as well which was a standout. The flavors were perfectly balanced. Heat/acid ratio on point. Finally, I had the raspberry tart for dessert. It was a very lovely slightly tart slightly sweet raspberry jam and cream cheese filling in a flaky butter crust. I would order that again for sure and would definitely try more baked goods, they all looked equally delicious. I also enjoyed looking at the little gift shop, it was very amusing.

Sister brought a huge fruit tart from Farm Bakery Cafe a few months ago, so when I found out this was in Santa Cruz, this was a must on my to-visit place in person! The fruit tart is amazing here. Perfectly sweet fruits. Delicious crust and the right amount of cream. The fruit tart in general is not overly sweet and has the perfect amount of texture. Came by hoping we could pay per slice, but they didn't have that option. Instead, they have a fruit tartlet for $7 which is your own personal fruit tart! It is a perfect size, but it is so addicting, you might need more than one. Parking on site. Be careful there is a steep dip turning into the parking lot..so scraped a bit of my car. I did see other folks order non-dessert food and it looked quite good with large portions. Might just need to try the food out next time!

The Farm operates both as a bakery/cafe and a small boutique shop. My friend took us here because they love the quiche and pies. Sadly, none of these goodies were plant-based so I wasn't able to try myself, but they seem to do a lot of to-go orders for these items. I went with their Mushroom Tacos ($14.50) sans queso and asked them to add the vegan Chimichurri sauce that they'd normally include in their breakfast burrito. I'm not sure if my order actually had this but the mushroom tacos were still very tasty. Very tender shrooms and as good as you'd expect with all the toppings. I'm hoping they consider making some more vegan options available especially when it comes to their baked goods. I'll definitely swing by to try more of their food if so. Parking is available in a mini lot next to the shop.

I have been coming to the farm for the past four years and have finally had it. Almost every time I come in to either pick up an order or eat there, my order is wrong, delayed or they lost it (with the exception of when I just get baked goods from the counter). This last time I order two BLAST sandwiches over the phone to pick-up. I specifically asked for the mayo on the side or not at all (as the people I was picking up for have certain intolerance and I figured, be safe on the side or they can add their own). They said it would be ready in 10. I get there before lunch rush a few minutes early, tell them I am telephone order and pay. I peruse the items on sale, socks and knick-knacks, waiting for them to call me. After about 10 minutes, I go stand by the counter and someone asks if they can help. I tell them my order and say I've already paid. They said, it should be out any minute. I wait some more. Meanwhile, I know the lunch rush is starting to happen and I need to go. Another person comes over to.the counter and asks if she can help me. Same back and forth. Finally I realized it had been 25 minutes (30 since I placed the initial order) and I tell them, either cancel the order and refund me or is it ready? Finally someone goes and actually looks in the back. For some reason they keep asking what my order is even though I've told them "2 BLAST sandos, no mayo". Now three of them are looking for these sandwiches. If I wasn't in a rush, I would've enjoyed the show. However someone finally comes from the back with two containers and puts them in a bag. I say thanks, grab them and haul butt only to get to the place I'm going and find out one is a BLAST with mayo and one is some other item I didn't order. I know accidents happen, but this was one example of what I've been through here. It's a bummer as I like supporting...

Went to pick up a pineapple upside down cake from this bakery yesterday. First thing I noticed was it had no cherries, it was for a birthday party for a person who happens to love upside down cake for the cherries. I mentioned this to the girl behind the counter and all she said was ‘we don’t have any cherries’ ok. I just kept quiet making a note of that. Then I asked her if she had cake decorations and she said “no we don’t have that” the next thing I know I look down and there are decorations right there!! In front of me! So I say to her “you have decorations here” and she says”oh yes I guess we do have them!” Really? The employee had no clue what their inventory is? What a shame. We called today to speak to a manager and spoke to a sweet girl who was very helpful yet when she spoke to the owner the owner could have cayuslky gotten on the phone with me and spoken to me. Very unfortunate. You lost our business. First time in and I spent at least $100 in your store. If your employees don’t know that you have cake decorations and you sell cake decorations you have some...
