Service AND food was soooo HORRIBLE!!!! If I could rate it a zero I WOULD! I honestly couldn't wait to eat here. When we finally got a chance, the price online and in the restaurant was totally different. We ordered 2 pizzas, chicken and wedges FINALLY real potatoe wedges and chicken. We were so excited. They said it was going to be 45min to cook. Because they we're about to close we got the last of there chicken, chicken that was old, dry and burnt and Pizza that was cold. We get home and start eating and just couldn't finish the first piece of pizza and chicken. We called right away first THE OWNER said he would replace our food the next day because they were going to close in 20min, but we needed our dinner that night he argued about a refund. It went back and fourth like that, FINALLY i said we just wanted a refund. He said ok. We get there and told him "to be fair we'll get a refund for 1 pizza and the chicken since we ate 3 pieces of pizza." He started cursing at my wife saying "you want a refund for the f-n chicken then I'll give you a refund for the f-n chicken." He gave us a refund for the chicken but not the pizza even after we asked for him to refund only one of the pizzas. The foul mouth man kept yelling "I'm not refunding anything else!" After he told me to bring my food back. Mind you we only ate a bite of 3 pieces, they're was practically the whole pizza left. PLEASE PLEASE I'm telling you, if you want good pizza and service AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE THE PLAGUE! You'll thank me. I've never complained about a business before cause i know how hard it is to be in the food and beverage services, but if you can't do something as simple as being nice and curtious to your customers or provide hot and fresh food, then you deserve to get a bad post and you might want to try your hand in something else or some other business where you don't have to deal with people...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe ordered a medium pepperoni pizza, and as you can see by the photo, only one slice was left (and I totally was tempted to finish it, too!). This is because Valentino's is the kind of place that makes pizza good enough to want to finish the whole dang thing. A medium pizza and 2 sodas for 20 bucks is an incredible price for the fact that this is one of the highest quality pizzas I've had in Bakersfield. The cheese is real mozzarella (wonderfully toasted to perfection), large, tasty pepperonis and my god the sauce. It's slightly sweet and slightly spicy, but you can tell they made it that day because it's very, very fresh. The crust is light but also fluffy (it's not a dense loaf of bread like Rusty's), and overall this pizza is a 9.5/10, and I'm not known for being too wild about giving any pizza that rating (the only 10/10 I would give goes to Topper's pizza, but they're in Santa Clarita so that's not exactly a fair comparison). Would definitely come again, and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis pizza is fantastic. We came here based on Google reviews trying to find a new pizza place. This is the place!
We ordered a medium pepperoni and I was quite impressed with the pie that we were served. The crust is crisp on the bottom, but the dough is fluffy and airy. The sauce is bright and fresh. The mozzarella is both high quality and generous quantity. The pepperonis were big and flavourful.
One factor I know people care about from reading reviews of other places is that they serve the pizza with a squeeze bottle of ranch and shakers of parmesan and crushed red peppers. They did not charge us extra for this generosity.
The dining room itself is reminiscent of an old school pizza place; just some tables and chairs with wood paneling on the walls and a few televisions. The tables and floors were clean and inviting.
I will definitely be returning. Thanks...
