Woody's Cafe, Grill & Pub — Restaurant in California

I'm not a complainer when it comes to food, but I just have to share the awful experience we just had. I ordered the waffle. My 3 year old ordered the Minnie Mouse pancake. Both tasted like swamp water! Disgusting! I only took one bite of the waffle. My husband tried a bite and spit it out. I sent mine back, but our daughter ate half of her pancake and didn't complain about the nasty taste because they put chocolate chips on it. They offered to make me another waffle, but I declined because I'm 7 1/2 months pregnant and feared the same outcome. When we went to pay, they said they couldn't take the waffle off of our bill! That infuriated me because it's never happened to us before! We had to pay for an awful waffle that we didn't eat. I ate 1/3 of my husbands breakfast burrito, and was nauseous the entire trip home! That burrito tasted bad to me, too, but I just drowned it in country gravy to make it semi-palatable. Needless to say, we will not be eating there again...

I'm saddened by my experience today. I have been here a few times before and although service has never been fast it has always been friendly and accommodating. The food is good and does come out fast once you order. It is a place you go to when you are not in a rush. Breakfast here is to large for me so I have started to order just an omelette without the sides it comes with. This has never been a problem before, they have always been willing and able to do the omelette a la cart and they don't charge me the full menu price since I don't get everything. Today was different. The server told me she had never heard of doing that and didn't know how to. I was charged $14 for an omelette and only an omelette! I am hoping this is a fluke and will not...
