Trail Family Diner — Restaurant in Cambridge

First: This is a dairy/ice cream bar NOT a "Diner". Limited seating inside with a few 2 person picinic tables outside. Wanted a burger, they were out, though it was within an hour of closing. I had a pork tenderloin (deep fried patty similar to a FF fried chicken sandwich) hand sliced tomato, lettuce, & mayo. It filled the hunger need. Partner had the meatloaf sandwich with ketchup, mustard, mayo, tomato, lettuce & pickle. Definitely acceptable, nothing outstanding. Both ordered as a basket, with "fair fries". Again acceptable, but came without salt. I had to ask for ketchup, wasn't offered salt or pepper & didn't want to go back inside & wait while food got cold. Very reasonably priced. Ice cream, milkshakes etc. looked good and were generous portions. Offerings were good for a Dairy Bar, however, I was not expecting his type of establishment from...

Addressed the fact that the use of a restroom not being of use to the public and the owner stood over me in an aggressive manner..... My elder friend across from me was in shock as he said... IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT.... DON'T COME BACK.... This guy is a real piece of work and I'll be taking his advice and my family and friends WILL GLADLY UPON HIS REQUEST WILL NOT BE COMING BACK. He REALLY has some issues and I hope he'll address them... And a public restaurant with a restroom is the norm. He obliviously doesn't allow public use BECAUSE he looks down at the community that he resides.... He needs to address my comment.... Let his response be your guide on if you should EVER spend a penny towards his segregating approach to the community he resides in and sadly doesn't think highly enough of you to offer you a simple bathroom courtesy. This guy is not good....

Trail family diner has ALWAYS been the place to go. I remember my grandma taking me here when I was young, when I got my wisdom teeth out and all I wanted was food from there, and now I still go there as an adult with my family. The environment is always kind and welcoming from the staff and the people who eat there. The food comes out QUICK and exactly to your liking.
