First, I strongly support locally owned restaurants. Read my other reviews. I rarely leave a negative review, if I have a bad experience, I just don't go back. We had reservation at 4 pm. See the pics to see that the place was basically empty, and they turned away 6 couples because "we don't take walk ins". We were seated at 4 pm. Ordered drinks and the spinach dip appetizer. While we were ordering, a guy put a plate of croissants on our table. I ordered a modelo and my wife ordered a wine. A few minutes later, the waitress came back and asked me to repeat my beer order. I said modelo again. And she said "ok, I got back there and thought did he say armadillo? Modelo makes more sense." The croissants were pretty hard. Whike waited, a party of 8 was served. Three of them said their food was not cooked as ordered two steaks and a burger. I couldn't hear whether they were overcooked or under cooked, but I did hear them say they were just going to eat them as cooked, rather than send back. Drinks arrive 4:25. Check out the pics of my wife's $12 glass of wine. We asked about the app and she said she forgot to put it in, and asked if we still wanted it. We said no because we were not getting great vibes at this point, so we placed our order. My wife ordered the rib eye medium rare. I ordered the pork chop also medium rare. She asked for a baked potato with butter and sour cream. I asked for a baked potato loaded. Food came out at 5:05, almost an hour after we were seated. There were people at 4 tables. Including the party of 8. And we saw at least 4 waitresses at various times. My wife's steak was medium to medium well. She sent it back. Her potato was loaded. She sent it back. My pork chop was cooked medium but I didn't want to take a chance, so I just ate it. The pork chop only comes with one side. Her refired steak came back a 5:25. It was cooked properly. When we got our bill we were charged $10 for the hard croissants that we did not order. Since the waitress was at the table taking our order when the croissants were delivered, it should have been obvious we did not order them. We assumed they were complimentary bread before our meal. They did take them off our bill. This is a steakhouse by name. They had one steak on the menu. The rib eye. I know they just opened a few weeks ago, but this was amateur hour. We will give them another chance in a few months. Ps. I really really want these guys to succeed. This is local people and local money, and that is exactly what I want for those community. It just has...
Read moreLook, the place has potential, but this evening they were imploding. They buy high quality meats, but that's pretty much where it ends. They ran out of baked potatoes early, and substituted mashed potatoes that were not made in-house. They tasted as if they most recently came from a bag and before that a factory. Service was super slow, and though apologetic, was nowhere near attentive enough. The pork chop was good, maybe even great, but they offer it medium rare because the pigs are "clean"? I feel like the venn diagram of folks that eat medium rare pork and the folks that eat medium rare chicken is just a circle. I ordered it medium well and it was delicious. I never got the side salad I ordered but I wasn't charged for it either, so no harm, no foul. My fiance ordered her filet medium and it was rare/medium rare. The server offered to put it back on the grill, which is a food safety no no. Food that has arrived at a table should never go back to be put on the grill with other people's food. Gross. We decided to just bring it home and cook it correctly ourselves. The raspberry vinaigrette for her side salad was gelatinous. That's the best word for it. It wasn't a true liquid. At the end, we waited so long for the server to take our payment that we had to take our check to the bar. If they get their act together, it will be a good spot, and let's face it, Camden needs a few more great...
Read moreTook the family in today for lunch. Everything was excellent. The wife had the Chicken Bruschetta, my father had the NY Strip, and my son and I both had the Wagyu burger. The wife said her food was cooked perfectly and delicious. My father is very picky with his steak and I asked him how his was and he pointed to an empty plate. I did taste a piece of the steak and it was great. I normally like a small amount of A-1 with my steak but none was needed. The steak had a great open flame smoke taste to it which was great. The wagyu burgers were good. They come as three slider's which I would personally like one normal sized burger as I don't like a lot of bread and individual sliders add a lot of bread. That aside, they were cooked perfectly and had great flavor. The atmosphere is nice with the smell of the grilled steak filling the air. Servers were friendly, polite, and took care of all your needs.
I would definitely recommend giving them a try. In fact I set a reservation for Tuesday and going out with a few friends to try their...
