Blowin' Smoque — Restaurant in Camden

Blowin' Smoque has the most amazing, delicious food. I had them cater by twin's sister and her husband's 25th Wedding Anniversary party over the weekend. I ordered the brisket, cabbage, yams, Parkside rice and baked macaroni and cheese. The food was a HIT with all of our family and friends, especially the cabbage and brisket. My brother in law is very health conscious, with that said, he loved it!

I would highly recommend Blowin Smoque and I plan to use them to cater future events. As a native Mississippian, I who know a thing or two about soul food. Blowin Smoque is all that and more.

Speaking of more, I incurred a flat while parking to pick up the food. My brother in law could not be reached because he was setting up tables. AAA roadside assistance was operating on a 3 hour delay. My tire was punctured in the interior wall and too unsafe to drive 4 miles home.

Omar, Blowin Smoque owner, is a Man of Character and Integrity. He really cares about his customers. He (yes, the owner) dropped everything to change my flat tire and to ensure my twin and I arrived home safely and in time for her party.

Omar, went above and beyond. Considering the state of the world today and lack of empathy and moral character, I would say Omar is in a elite class of Kingdom men. His business is not soley about making money but building communities! He didn't know me or my twin. He did not have to do what he did to help us!

The world needs more business owners and workers like Omar and his friendly staff. His character was revealed when it mattered the most. You see, God was watching. Omar passed God's test! \o/\o/ Hebrews 13:2

Talk about a thought provoking, Customer Experience...Blowin Smoque is in a league of its own and it lives up to its name (you will get it later)... Expansion is coming in other communities!

Come on Blowin Smoke. The cornbread was stale as I didn't know what. Forgot the Mac n cheese and the brisket which was delicious in the past seems premade now. Little dry chunks of meat drenched in sauce. I'm officially done unfortunately.

Update 7/6/23

I added a star because the brisket and the wings are pretty good. I still don't care for the bbq sauce but I will day the mac n cheese and yams have been consistent.

Update 11/10/22:

My ribs were not cooked all the way through. If this is supposed to be mainly a bbq rib establishment, then you have a lot of work to do because the flavor of the sauce just isn't there and the ribs just aren't good. Plus the ribs were drowned in so much sauce it spilled all in my Mac and all over the bag. Super disappointed.

Initial review: Yams and mac had good flavor and tasted homecooked! I was a little disappointed in the ribs. They tasted a day old and had more smoke flavor than seasoning. Maybe I'll try a different meat next time. ...

Have been hearing about Blowin’ Smoque for a while, and have been meaning to give it a try. Well today I finally made it, a friend and I stopped in for a late lunch. None of what I’ve heard was hype . . . this is the real deal ! Firstly the aroma as soon as you walk in the door has you hooked. Then there’s the staff . . . very warm, welcoming, and fun. Everything I had was good, which is rare at most places. Usually there will be a thing or two that’s good and then something that’s just okay or maybe not so okay: I had the beef brisket (melted in my mouth), the kale greens (I could’ve sat and just ate a giant bowl), the mac & cheese (luscious & delicious), candied yams (very well balanced & tasty), & sweet potato pie which always falls short of my memories of my Aunt Lorraine’s sweet potato pie, but not this time. This one was actually in the running with a great crust, and I am a notorious crust snob. Do yourself a favor & get there...
