First things first, this Dunkin Donuts is inside of a convenience store. So, to be fair, the atmosphere is not on the fault of Dunkin Donuts.
However, that being said. I don't know what on Earth the new manager is doing. More recently, I'm seeing more employees behind the counter. However, the service is here is getting painfully slow. 10 minutes for drinks that are syrup and green tea from a tap seems a bit much. 20 minutes for food....which, I don't even wait that long if it's not busy from the takeout place in the same store.
Speaking of waiting at Dunkin Donuts here, the food time is even worse. Which, if you realize something about the person that has been cooking recently, makes this all that much worse.
I go, easily a few times a week. I know I'm not every day like a lot of the construction people and commuters, but I live and work in town.
The new manager, is just always, and I mean always the one cooking.
A manager, is always on the ovens...I feel like a manager should be...well managing. Filling in on a station when an employee is on break, making sure things are running smoothly and helping when the store is busy.
So...okay, the new manager is always cooking. The thing is, since this has been a thing, my orders are wrong about 95% of the time. So this manager, isn't even reading the orders as she makes them.
So, I'm waiting at least 10 minutes for drinks. 20 minutes, on average by the time food is out, and it's recently just about consistently wrong...while it's being made by a manager that isn't reading the orders properly?
I'm guessing she's banking on not enough people coming back due to most of the customers in the morning being on the go?
I've lived in Candia for quite a while now, and the amount of time this Dunkins has spent doing well is remarkably well to how crappy it is most of the time.
For some reason, the owner doesn't know how to treat managers that actually start to get the place doing well.
I do a lot of mobile ordering too, and recently it's this same issue. 20 minutes. I'll get up there and drinks aren't ready or donuts aren't already on the counter.
This month, the $5 meal is the wraps. So...it's taking 20 minutes for me to receive food that is thrown on a small flour tortilla, put in the oven for about 2 minutes, and should be done.
Yes, I understand there are other orders ahead. But if they are getting so backed up that it's 20 minutes for food from Dunkin's then the owner needs to take a hard look at how the remodel affected the performance of this location.
I do takeout from casual places in the area, I do takeout from fast food in the area.
This Dunkin Donuts is by far some of the worst issues that are...
Read moreThis review is strictly for the woman I believe is the manager at Dunkin donuts inside the irving gas station.
This has nothing to do with the employees at the candia rest stop .... They are nothing but nice and professional. Anyway, I placed an order online, picked it up and I got to witness a barrage of insults from the manager to customers. I get that it's probably very frustrating at a dunkin' donuts on a busy Sunday morning, but that was totally uncalled for.
I watched her berate a middle-aged women because she must have ordered incorrectly and then she had to remake this iced coffee for her. When she was done insulting the customer, she took the medium size cup of iced coffee, and flung it into the sink. I was standing near where the pickup is, as I had a pickup, and those ice cubes went flying everywhere. One almost hit me in the eye.
She then went on to complain about everything over the next 4 minutes, including wanting to go to the bathroom when she finally used the word "please"to her coworkers so she could use the restroom.
She then complained about how slippery the floor was, which might have to do with the way she slam dunks beverages into the sink! She yelled at an employee because she was supposed to make an iced coffee and it "literally had two ice cubes in it". Seriously, I thought I was on an episode of punked or what would you do ? I know it's hard to find employees and maybe they were short-handed but there's just no excuse for this. I honestly think she needs some medication, a vacation, A new vocation or training. She is completely unhinged.
The donuts and muffins were great, but I don't think I could ever go there again the way she treats her employees and customers. This is Is not how I want to start my Sunday morning or any morning for...
Read moreEarlier this summer, after all the staff that had shown plenty of loyalty quit due to upper managements refusing to give effective performance raises, about 99% of the staff quit.
This is now primarily being run by what looks like area manager types, and these people who refused to give raises to the staff that we all knew, have turned off mobile ordering because they can't handle it.
This Dunkin Donuts has had mobile ordering for YEARS. Yet, these managers that came in DISABLED it, because they couldn't handle driveup, walk-ins, and the mobile ordering.
I have asked about the mobile ordering and have been told it can be done through grubhub.
So, no use since you don't get to save up your points through the app.
Between the management now and the new hires, I've ordered both through the drive through and walk-in. Drive through is a joke. I waited 15 minutes and with how the drive through is designed, you are stuck in line.
Walk-in is a little better, however, you still wait at least 5 minutes even for a basic hot coffee. Not an espresso based drink, cold brew, or anything blended. Hot coffee. Five minutes.
The management needs to acknowledge they are in over their heads, raise what they are willing to pay and bring in competent people so it doesn't look like everyone is running around with no idea what they are doing.
Get friendly and efficient service back, work on the quality of the products going out.
BRING BACK MOBILE ORDERING!
Turned off because area managers couldn't handle it, and yet they still want to underpay their staff.
The app shows that this Dunkins is always closed now instead of saying mobile ordering is off.
This new management...
