Stubby’s is a no thrill dinner. The building is old and run down, parking lot is dirt or in our case today mud. Your meal is served on a paper plate. We got there around 9:30-10am Saturday. We navigated our way through the mud parking lot. Once inside we waited standing by the door not knowing if we were to wait to be seated, or if we could seat our selves. After a few minutes I asked if we needed to be sat or if we picked a spot. You do seat yourself. The dinning area is one room with 5 maybe 6 tables and a cute bar with stools with one server, a bus person, and the cook. I ordered the meat lovers omelette which should have had Kabasa in it, there wasn’t any. I was not informed of this. I found out by opening it up after eating half and not finding any. The meat seemed to be frozen food bought in bulk, not fresh, and not very good. My husband’s and daughter meals were the same. A great place for anyone who just wants some hot food. Unfortunately not for me.

One of the best! This hole in the wall place gives you the true home feel complete with the paper plates all our families use! You'll be dining with their constant regulars who give you the small town diner feel where a private conversation can turn into an entire diner laughing over the same things. There's nothing you can go wrong with on this menu and if you love meat there's more options then you can handle! Must have a grilled muffin!!!!!

Great home cooked meals and a fantastic staff. Our waitress made the meal enjoyable and fun. The food was amazing and made from real ingredients. We just happened to see the sign for it and are grateful we went there.

It saddens me to write this review, for fears of this place becoming to popular. Luckily Stubby's will not be everyone's cup of tea. The posted pictures are very accurate. This establishment has a very unpretentious charm, from the dirt floor vestibule to the(spoiler alert) paper plates. The Staff is friendly, the coffee is strong and the patrons are not exactly quiet (friends and neighbors usually aren't). When you pickup the simple, straight forward menu you may notice that the meals tax is included in the (are these real) reasonable prices. Which brings us to the food. The paper plate will sort of do a little wobble as the server places it in front of you. That is because it is at maximum capacity, loaded with Quintessential Diner fair done well. You will not leave hungry, or with an...

What a find!! Right off State Rt 101 and only 3 mins added to our trip time, we saw the reviews and decided to stop. Driving an RV that's towing a car, it can be difficult to find eateries that can accommodate. We were able to park on side of the road right across street and had an easy exit.

Betsy was our waitress and was GREAT! She was efficient and had a terrific sense of humor. David was the cook...an AMAZING cook AND baker - the apple cinnamon muffins were DELISH!! He is doing his father's memory (the diner's namesake) PROUD!

So glad we found this...
