Arena's Pizza Bostwick Lake — Restaurant in Cannon Township

When my husband (Art) and I moved to Rockford two years ago we were searching for great pizza. We happened upon Arena's in Rockford and thought it was pretty good especially since Chris the Manager took great care of us. After he left to take a job at a different restaurant, we decided to try other pizza places. Last week we ordered from Arena's again but as it turned out we ordered from the Bostwick Lake location and not the Rockford location. When Art went to pick it up--after realizing we didn't order from Rockford--he found the Manager at this location was Chris! The pizza was once again fantastic! Don't ask us how Chris remembered us (probably because we both like specific toppings on our side of the pizza) but he did and he had the pizza made crispy--just the way we like it. We are so happy to know that Chris is there and we will be making the extra drive to Bostwick Lake just because Chris is there! The other arena's location is awesome, but they do not deliver to our house. This location has gotten our order right, well made and delivered on time only twice out of the seven times we have ordered from them.

They have delivered late multiple times and gotten the order wrong multiple times. I tell them that I am lactose intolerant and that I can't have cheese on my sub, but they give it to me anyway. I will call and they will only give me a credit for next time. Once when I called to order again and they had no record of my credit from the previous time. The pizzas are always poorly made, and I am told that they taste nothing like their other location. Now they've added a surcharge for ordering with a credit card.

This time the order was late, the sub had cheese, the pizza was overcooked yet cold, and as always was, poorly made. My son could barely finish two slices without getting grossed out.

Issues below was rectified. Rating was increased. Other than the issue below, we have never once had a problem or issue. Ordered from them last night, two pizza and breadsticks, was told pickup would be 55 min, delivery an hour, waited just shy of 2 hours. When I ordered I told them I was paying with cash. Delivery finally showed up, and he had no cash bag, said he couldn’t give me change for 20$ when I had a 43$ bill and 60$ cash. Gave him the 60, called the store back, ticked because who doesn’t carry a cash bag?! Was told they would have him drive my 17 dollars back out to me. No one showed. I’m beyond annoyed with them, there are multiple pizza options in Rockford, I won’t be back, regardless that this store has been our families go to. Will change this review, if the issue...
