Mitten Pizza Company — Restaurant in Cannon Township

I really wanted to like mitten pizza because it's just around the corner. Sorry, no. If I can save my neighbors some disappointment, this review will be worth it because I don't like to give bad reviews.

Crust was very tough and pretty flat.

I really like that they have a range of toppings, it's too bad they all taste like the same thing which seems to be cheese and a spicy sauce. We ordered a custom pizza with five traditional toppings that nearly doubled the pie price. The toppings seemed to be placed on the inner portion of the pizza rather than the whole thing. Considering how circles work it seemed like we got about 1/3 the total amount of toppings we should have. It was a good science illustration to consider the area of a circle. I'm trying to find positive things here.

This was my second try with the Mitten Rockford. This pizza is awful. It’s difficult to find something to like about it and I really love all pizza. Way undercooked. Soggy is an understatement. There is a sprinkle of cheese in the middle. Initially, I thought we were given a cheese less pizza in error because the pizza looked red. However, there was a sprinkle towards the middle. Enormous chunks of green pepper and red onion. Looks like it was cut with a butter knife by a child. The sauce is…not really sauce but more like a tomato paste. I LOVE Mitten Brewing Company and was super excited to find this spot but their pizzas were a total disappointment. I ordered the vegan hog heaven, it was missing the chipotle style spicy (ish) sauce, they tossed a small handful of the tortilla crisps on it and didn’t bother to marinate the jackfruit in the usual sauce - instead it was just sprinkled on there without any kind of flavor.

I received the text that my order was ready, I picked up the order 4 minutes later and sat down to eat it just 5 minutes after that … it was so cold I had to microwave it.
