I ordered my food online. When I received my food and got it home, I noticed it was all wrong. I called the restaurant advising it was wrong and that I may have made a mistake on my end, however I would like them remade to my liking. The male staff member I spoke with told me I would have to pay for the order again in order to make them and that I could contact management on Monday to get a possible refund for the first order. We started to go through what I originally wanted over the phone thinking we found a resolution. All of a sudden, as we're going through the items, he says, "you couldn't have picked those items off in the first place?" I was floored, I thought we were moving forward. I asked him if he really just said that to me because I couldn't believe my ears regarding the question itself and tone in his voice. I am a manager and would never stand for one of my employees to represent my company in this manner. After I asked that question, his tone got worse and he started calling me "hostile" (which I wasn't, my voice stayed even-keeled. I didn't even cuss, although I wanted to at this point). I kept saying I'm trying to give you my order, how am I hostile? He continuously talked over me repeating that I was being hostile and finally hung up on me. I tried to call back, but the phone appeared to be off-the-hook. I kept the sandwiches planning to go in Monday (today) to talk to a manager because my experience had me shaking and was out of line. I started to tell my side of things while he smiled in the back behind her. Obviously, he already updated her with his version of the story and I could tell from the beginning she wasn't listening to my side. She said she wouldn't refund the money but she could remake them at this point. I don't want Subway at all at this point... it's 9am. I certainly don't want either of them to make me anything. I walked out and as I was doing so threw out my 3 day old subs in their trash. This was the most horrendous customer experience I've ever had in my life. I have 2 pieces of feedback: The online ordering system is not user friendly. Just like the store, when you hit customize, it shouldn't start with default items, it should let you start from scratch to build your own. I feel like I'm barked at when asked for my order and if I don't say it exactly the way they want me to say it then I get scoffed at and treated like I'm annoying them for a simple order. Asking for a series sub which has a certain list of ingredients in the sub already with no changes, just the teriyaki blitz please, and I was treated like I must have the answer for how it's built and what I want on it. Just the blitz please. Why have a series sandwich if you don't know what's on it? And I should not have had the attitude they gave me while they slung around the sandwiches, laughed at to my face for not knowing what bread comes with a blitz. Any bread is not an answer I guess. I tried to be as nice as possible but I eventually had to say "please don't give me attitude" . He said it's hard for him to make sandwiches because people don't order right. Then told my mother and sister that they put butter away for prezals and meatballs a hour before they close so the store losing $ because they wanted prezals and the meatballs were put away so loss of a footlong sub too.
