Best Thai Restaurant — Restaurant in Canyon

My daughters and I would eat Asian food all day, every day, if only it were feasible. Best Thai is among our favorites, and while I have reviewed it from a solo visit not long ago, I’ll share what the three of us had today.

Youngest Daughter opted for Udon Noodles with Tofu, which is essentially a huge bowl of soups with massive chunks of plant-based protein. The tofu has been lightly fried, and while this is a soup, it was still edible for the most part with chopsticks. Well, until you are left with only the broth! Oldest Daughter chose her favorite, Tom Yum Soup with noodles, chicken, pork, and shrimp. This bowl packed a lot of heat, both temperature and spice, which fit her just fine. And I went with a long-time fave, Green Curry Tofu and Steamed White Rice. This, too, was mouth-on-fire hot, and Oldest Daughter and I laughed about how we were having to wipe our sudden sniffles.

Best Thai served Thai food that is hard to beat in Canyon. The averange price per dish is $10($8.50 to $12). The kid's dish is $5 each. I spent $42 for 3 normal size dishes and 2 kid's dishes. There are four Thai restaurants in Canyon that I know. Best Thai got the biggest dish portion among them. If you want the best bucks for the big bangs, I would go to Best Thai. Best Thai also serves some Thai traditional dishes. If you like Thai traditional, look for the Thai traditional section on the menu. I personally like the traditional, and their spicy seafood(not spicy at all in my opinion, only the sweet smelling of chili) dish is my favorite. I would rank the best in Canyon in overall aspects. My original review is below but I had to update it since the quality has decreased in recent times. The curry is super watery now, as if the coconut milk is almost non existent. The chicken is overcooked most visits. Instead of sacrificing quality, just raise prices a little. Disappointing…Not the best Thai, by far.

We just tried this restaurant for the first time recently and have since been back several times. I always get the Sweet and Sour Chicken for lunch and the price can't be beat.
