As someone who first had boba in China, I know that nothing in rual Texas is nessisarily going to live up to that. With that being said, the overall experience I had at the Bubble Bar today was... odd? I'm not entirely sure how describe it. I asked for a milk tea with tapioca pearls (the original boba tea, and the most basic thing on any place's menu) and was met with a level of discourtiousness thay deeply baffled me. I understand being asked what kind of tea since they have several on the menu, but the worker there didn't know what a tapioca pearl was, and was honestly incredibly rude when I didn't understand what she was talking about concerning both the tapioca and the rest of the drink. I don't know if that person was just new, having a bad day, or if they just truly hadn't been trained properly, but it was a bit much for 3 o'clock on a Tuesday. In addition to this, the drink had overcooked pearls, too much ice, and was expensive for what you're getting. If you're looking for a good boba place in the Amarillo area, you honestly might was well drive the extra 7 miles to...
Read moreOk, this is ACTUAL boba tea - DELICIOUS! I had been so disappointed with other options in the area and then Bubble Bar opened and Iâm worried for my wallet because I want their Thai tea with every meal. Okay, thatâs exaggerating because everything is priced well but still- thatâs how delicious these drinks are. They have the right consistency, flavor profile, the drinks are made well, and the staff is so nice!! The aesthetic of the interior is comfy too. Might use this place to get some work or reading done when I donât want to do it from home anymore. Definitely trying the Pina Colada smoothie bowl next time! And if I can figure out how to add a photo - excuse the half drunk drink - I didnât realize this place was this good that Iâd want to...
Read moreMy recent visit to this establishment was, regrettably, a masterclass in disappointment. The individual presiding over the operationâpresumably the ownerâdisplayed an astonishing lack of composure when I inadvertently ordered a tea containing boba, a product they were inexplicably out of. One might assume a boba shop would have, well, boba in stock, but apparently thatâs an ambitious expectation here. The response? A theatrical performance of slamming containers and doors that would make a toddler blush. Itâs truly inspiring to witness such a professional operation run with the maturity and grace of an entitled toddler. Iâll be sure to recommend this gem to anyone seeking chaos...
