Never had a bad dish here. I honestly have never had anything that was just okay. The service is always good even for a non-Spanish speaking customer. If you are looking for atmosphere and cozy decor, forget it. This is a place for people who just want good food and great flavors. From the coffee to the dessert you can't go wrong. Breakfast is inexpensive, filling and well prepared. The bakery items are delicious guava pastries, flan, Dolce de Leche, bread, cookies and other pastries. Steak sandwich and oxtail stew are my favorites, but I have had the pork chunk and several of the other sandwiches. The colada (Cuban Coffee) and Café Con Leche (Coffee with Milk) is a rocket fuel espresso that will definitely get you going. Huge portions and great pricing. Get there. Order. Enjoy it.

I was going on a mid-afternoon walk and decided to take a break and get some lunch! Ainalen was my wonderful server, who took the time to explain the menu because it was my first time there! I tried the iron-beer for my beverage and it was a delicious cross between crème soda and root-beer! Yum! The croquettes were great and the Cuban sandwich was tasty & loaded with pork! Next time I will get extra pickles because I prefer pickles in every bite! Dessert was the Three milk cake and was the perfect finish to my lunch! I can’t wait to try the Flan! Thanks Ainalen and crew!

The best Cuban food I have ever had in Lee County. I have been putting off coming here because I haven't been a fan of cuban food in the past. This place has changed my mind completely! Service was fast and friendly smiles! It was a rainy day so it was quiet but nice place to be yourself and enjoy your food! The Palomilla with onions was delicious and I can't wait to try more. The daily specials are perfectly priced!

This is one of the more acceptable Cuban restaurants in the area. I am Cuban-American and lived in Miami for 15 years. I know good Cuban food. This food doesn't blow me away, but it's good. Since moving to Lee County, my Spanish doesn't have that Cuban accent. Working in a professional environment, I have to speak to clients in Spanish, clients from different parts of the world, and I learned to tone down my accent and speak a more standard, clearer Spanish. I felt like the waitresses judged me every single time I came here. With Cubans, they speak to each other with phrases like "Mami", "Mi Vida", etc. These are supposed to be like loving phrases. Even in Miami I never spoke like these to complete strangers. It is part of the culture, and I can tell they didn't like it when I spoke to them in plain Spanish. LOL, sorry, to me it's very fake to speak like that. I felt like the waitresses were always completely rude to me. Terrible service. Don't go here during your lunch hour. You have to sit yourself and wait 5-10 minutes for a waitress to come up to you, even if they are not busy. With some waitresses, if you don't tell them you want a drink, they won't even ask you and won't bring you water. It is standard at a Cuban restaurant to get sliced Cuban bread toasted with butter. Not here. If there's bread anyways. I have been here several times when I am in the mood for "Cuban" food and regret it every time. They don't understand that the dining out experience isn't just how the food tastes, it is the customer service. I am paying you for your service. You would think you would want a Cuban customer to be a repeat customer? Overall, I haven't been here in months because of the terrible...

So...after sending my wife some lunch via a Grubhub order for the first time from this restaurant, we went to dine with the family since my wife said the food was really good. And it is... I order the Sunday special Stewed Goat and my wife order the pan seared grouper with vegetables - also good. My wife decided to take her fish plate for work and wanted the Stewed Goat after she tried mine. Ordered it with White rice, black beans and Tamale. The food was flavorful, even the beans. My only gripe was my rice look and tasted to be the last of the pot with some hard rice grains (we call it 'pegao') while my wife received a freshly cooked batch. I love 'pegao' but this was not really pegao texture or flavor. Either way, it was a few so I overlooked it. I had a Mamey shake which was really good. My wife had the Tamarindo canned drink which was packed with sugar - how about 198%, WHAT? Needless to say she had to dilute that with lots of water. We did choose to try one of their larger than normal cookies because we were so stuffed, but was not impressed. They had other pastries which we'll try next time. Overall food was good but service was slow (including waiting for our orders) and had to repeat to our waitress (she was nice and apologetic though) about getting us napkins, water and that sugar packed Tamarindo drink - which we will pass on our next visit. Yes... this place deserves another visit and we'll see if the service performance is better. Sorry, no pics...

I gave it 2 stars because the food was not bad the second time it came out the first plate had the longest black hair in it, I told the other girl there and she quickly replaced it! My waitress that took my order never came back after taking my order and when I walked to the counter and asked where do I pay she said right there and kept sweeping the floor, the other waitress said give me a minute and I'll be right there because she was making multiple trips to deliver food to another table and my waitress didn't lift a finger to help her! The phone started to ring and and that's when my waitress came over and she started taking someone's order instead of saying please hold and taking care of me! She mumbled how much I owed and then kept talking on the phone, horrible service! My bill was $11.66, I left a $2.34 tip because I noticed they were sharing tips I usually tip about 40-50% when I'm by myself because the tab is low and I'll never stiff anyone but she just cost her coworker money and I'm sure that's all the time! This lady just cost you a client this was my first time here but I'll...
