After a disappointing 45-minute wait at another restaurant with no service, our family was treated like VIPs by the heartwarming staff at Peanut Bar in Carbondale, PA. Just when we thought our evening couldn't be salvaged, having already packed the kids into the mini van, a kind waitress noticed our dilemma and ran out to welcome us in. Our initial impression was that they were closed for a private event (which looked like one heck of a party, we will be looking into their catering services too!). She informed us that they indeed had a space that was perfect for us❤️
We were given a cozy booth at the back of the bar where we felt seen and heard. The food, of course, was nothing short of amazing—each dish bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection. What truly made our experience memorable was the exceptional service. The owner himself made rounds, ensuring we were more than just taken care of—we were treated like family.
The wait staff went above and beyond, their sweetness and patience with our young children didn't go unnoticed. They engaged in little conversations and activities that kept the kids entertained, showcasing their authentic family-friendly environment.
In a world where dining out with kids can be challenging, the Peanut Bar stands out as a beacon of warmth and exceptional service. We left with full bellies and even fuller hearts, knowing we've found a gem where the food is great, and the people are even...
Read moreI’ve been there for Sunday football and loved the atmosphere, the food and the service. But I was there last night for the Super Bowl and it was not good at all. We had reservations for 5:00 and couldn’t order food till 6:30 because they were back up with take out orders and was told by the bartender that they ran out of wings at 11:30am. I’m just baffled that a restaurant runs out of wings on Super Bowl knowing that wings are the best seller for the Super Bowl. Very disappointed
You’re right, maybe a one was unfair so I will change it. However, According to your FB post all to go orders were supposed to be in by 2/11. If you ran out of wings at 1130am yesterday then you should have put that on FB as well. Also, you weren’t out of wings, because people that were there later were able to get wings. I’ve been going out for Super Bowl Sunday for 20 years and I’ve never once been to a place that ran out of wings at 1130am. I understand you have takeout orders to fill but you also have people coming into your restaurant for the game who should be treated the same. You’re out of wings? Okay that can even be overlooked, but to wait 3 hours to even be served...
Read moreHave driven past this place for a long time and never tried it until recently. It’s excellent! The pizza is delicious! I’ll stop back.
Only reason for the 4 stars is the bartender seemed to be pre-occupied and didn’t pay attention to the name on my order, which I repeated several times and which eventually I had to point out on the screen myself after I received another persons check for their order. Now it was Friday but it was not overly crowded. I do also acknowledge that the bartender making food runs for take out orders shouldn’t be in their duties as I think this place definitely has enough take out orders to justify a person dedicated to running for them (there was at least 5 people that came in for take outs in my 10 minutes I was in there). Either that or a separate take out entrance. I think it’s a lot to ask of a single bartender to keep that all afloat.
Excellent job otherwise and I wouldn’t let it deter me from...
