Avo Cafe has just opened up around the corner from my apartment and I'm very happy about it! Just a couple of blocks from the beach and a 10 minute walk from Downtown Santa Monica, it's a great place to grab a late breakfast or lunch.

I've been by a couple of times now; it's not been too busy and there's lots of seating on the patio outside in the back (which is dog friendly). The first time I went I got the the Mediterranean Panini and a Jam Dot which was delicious. The second time we split an Avo Pizza and a delicious slice of chocolate cake. I also grabbed a bagel with plant cheese to have from breakfast the next morning. They have a great selection of grab and go stuff, so if you're on your way down to the beach and are looking for a great plant based lunch, this would be a great place to stop off. I haven't tried everything yet but I intend to stop by regularly and try the whole menu.

It's great to have a new vegan cafe in town! The staff are very friendly and welcoming. I definitely recommend this place...

Just found this little gem! I got a bunch of goodies and I can’t wait to try the food! So far the avocado toast was AMAZING the bread was so fresh. The salads and bowls are phenomenal. I have been craving nothing but fresh food with healthy ingredients, this hit the spot. I also love how they have treats and snacks that are sugar free but sweetened in other ways. I am pretty sure I was lucky enough to either talk to the owner or manager, I wish I got her name…she is super attentive and extremely kind. I have had a rough few years with terrible customer service and it’s so refreshing to FINALLY receive good food with a big smile. I’ll be stopping by bi weekly (at least) and telling all the locals about this hidden gem! Thanks again for the healthy food option. If you are looking for a vast display of healthy, vegan options, look no further because this place has everything you’ll need to satisfy your palate.
