Papa Johns Pizza — Restaurant in Carmel

Eh. The people are nice. The atmosphere is fine. But they constantly get the crust type wrong and don't ever actually give "extra sauce." They barely give regular sauce. It's cheese on bread with bubbled up dry spots. I only go to this location when it's the closest one. I'm usually closer to another location with HORRIBLE service and longer than acceptable service times, but the pizza is always correct. In my last order at this location, I ordered 2 New York style crust pizzas with extra sauce, clean cut (I have food allergies). What I got was 2 regular crust pizzas with too much sauce at the crust but dry throughout the main part of the pizza (like cheesy bread, not pizza). There were a couple of bites with very little sauce under the cheese, but most of it was literally just cheesy bread. It wasn't "little sauce" by my standards because I get extra sauce, it was really almost no sauce except for at the crust. I only get extra because we always have leftovers and reheating it makes it dry without extra sauce. And now I have to worry about whether or not they actually did a clean cut. This is my fourth time ordering from this location since Spring, and it has only gotten worse. This is not the first time they messed up the crust and not even the second time they barely gave any sauce throughout the pizza. I think I'll just start going down Meridian into Indianapolis for the next closest Papa John's when I'm on that side of town. Or order from a different pizza place entirely. If you report an incorrect order online, they'll never reach out to correct it. Save yourself some money if you plan on getting anything other than regular crust or if you actually want sauce...

Absolutely terrible delivery experience, although much more frustrated with this location's lack of customer service or empathy. Pizza delivery showed up 2 hrs and 15 min after I ordered it and an hour after it's scheduled delivery time. When I called to check status when it was 30 min late I was told the order was done and had been waiting for a delivery driver for the past 45 min... but not to worry since it had been under a heat lamp. The lady on the phone then paused and said "that's a long time under a heat lamp. There is time to remake the order before a driver is available. Do you want us to remake it?" I was tempted to just cancel and pizza elsewhere, but said that I'd take a freshly made order if they refunded my delivery fee and tip. After consulting with her supervisor she told me they wouldn't do that. I told them to cancel the order and got pizza from Jets instead. 10 min later a papa johns driver showed up with the order. Told him we had canceled the order and no longer wanted the pizza. Lol. I have had three issues where drivers for this establishment have thrown tantrums on my front lawn, today being the third. Previously when it took the driver over an hour to get to my house that's within walking distance from the store I didn't tip him and he started yelling and cursing on my front lawn. The second time I tipped a dollar for another ridiculously long wait and the guy was yelling sarcasticly how he was so glad he only got a dollar as he left my house. Tonight the driver brought me my food and when I paid with cash I got asked, "how much do you want back?" To which I responded with, "My change." He then started telling me that he didn't have enough change and he couldn't go back to the store and get the right amount. He then gave me the money and food claiming he "didn't have time for this' and left only to return later with more money but still short changed me a dollar. This work ethic is deplorable...
