Update: after 5 days of eating at various restaurants, we can confidently say this is hands-down the best restaurant we tried in Puerto Rico. We wanted to go back for another meal but didn’t realize they close at 5 on weekdays! 💔
After three miserable hours at a nearby car rental, we stumbled into Plaza del Marisco so hungry we could barely see straight. Victor, one of the owners (?) came right over, saw how worn out we were, and told us exactly what we needed to order. He gave us cups of seafood soup on the house to revive us, and then we had some DELICIOUS lightly fried red snapper (chillo) and mixed seafood, both with the best mofongo we have tried. I finished with some Tres Leches cake to take home, which was also great. Don Victor is one of a kind and helped lift our spirits after our terrible experience. He and his coworkers also gave us some great recommendations for beaches and where to find the best coconut water. We felt so at home and can’t wait to go back. If you want FANTASTIC, fresh, authentic food, this is a can’t-miss stop!

Read more10 out of 10!!! I wish that I could rate this place higher! The absolute freshest and most flavorful seafood we enjoyed on the island. Service was welcoming from the time we walked through the door. The owner was exceptionally polite, personable and his confidence radiated as he spoke about his lovely establishment. We eagerly took his suggestions and were absolutely blown away by the quality and quantity of both our dishes! The mofongo, grouper, octopus, conch, and the house sauces to top them off were out of this world! Thank you so much for the warm welcome and hospitality on...
Read moreThis is hands down the best food I had while I was in PR. I am going back for a third time in two days! It is so cheap that if it was triple the price I would still pay. The people that work there including the owner were so welcoming. My wife and I had the fried chicken, Mofongo, and beef with onions. Everything felt like it was a home cooked meal with a punch of flavor and we even ate all the left overs we couldn’t finish later that evening. I have been a lot of places but nothing tops this. I will miss this food in Boston. Don’t think about it just go here!!! Mofongo was the...
