I really wanted to give this place five stars across the board, but in all honesty I can't do it. If the proprietor reads my review, my comments are meant to be helpful suggestions and not ugly criticism. We had a lovely tea there and would like to go again. But there were a few deficiencies that made the experience less than ideal. first off, there was so much de'cor covering our tabletop that there was very little room for our food, water goblets, and cups and saucers. When we ordered our tea, it became immediately apparent that only one cup and saucer was on the table set for 2. We had to ask. Our waitress was charming and adorable and gave helpful suggestions. However one of our meals was served at least 5 minutes prior to the other and possibly closer to 10 minutes. Needless to say this was awkward and uncomfortable for the person who should be eating their meal while hot instead of waiting for the other person to be served so much later. Additionally, we had to request the side dish twice that had been ordered and not served before it reached our table. When the second meal arrived on a two-tiered serving platter, it was plunked down on the customer's plate instead of placed to the side where the items could be conveniently accessed and brought onto the plate for consuming. But that was understandable, since there was absolutely no room on the table to place anything else. It was completely up to the customer to figure out how to rearrange everything on that table to make it work. The food was tasty and portions were adequate.
As to the decor, it will either appear as hopelessly cluttered or delightfully eclectic. Everywhere one's eye alights there is something unique and antique. It seems perfect for an old fashioned Tea Party and ideal for groups of ladies and girls. Yes, I would like to go again and order another entre' from their expansive menu. Soup next time for sure, and definitely another...

Upon arrival, owner was upset that I was missing one in my party and speaking to another staff member how this makes her mad. I booked our reservation month in advance, and could only get in at 10a, open hours. Our waitress was was excellent and friendly. The whole time there 3 of the 7 staff stood behind our table and practically stared at us the whole time. 10 tables total, only 2 tables seated for the first hour, and we felt that if the owner and hostes was rushing us to eat. Waitress had to ask if she could sell the fruit bowl, because they need enough for the day, which I thought was odd. Usually you sell first come first serve. We asked if we could buy tea to take home, our waitress told a young man that we order 3, 4oz bags, and he got very upset with her like it was a inconvenience and told her, we need this for the day. Said it loud enough for us to hear. Waiting 15 minutes to finally get our $50.00, 3 baggies of 4oz ea tea. Beautiful place, tea was...
Read moreWe walked in and I was IN LOVE!!! It has an elegant, old-fashioned charm, the seating is spaced out nicely, and the owners are so sweet!!! We made reservations, highly recommend that, if only because it helps them plan ahead to know how many customers they can expect (common courtesy is something we can all extend to others, people; it isn't hard). The food was very good, I liked that you were able to pick your sandwich choices for the Afternoon Tea! You could get two of one flavor, or all different, or even all the same! Just double check that your tea is nice and hot when they bring it out. We had 3 pots and the one didn't stay hot long but they weee super busy and it was a larger pot so I think that combination gave us the issue. They fixed it right away, though, and we had such a wonderful time! 10/10 would go again! And they change the dessert options from time to time so what you have one week will most likely not be what you have...
