El Charrito Mexican Grill — Restaurant in Cartersville

I was so excited to eat here based off a recommendation. We arrived at 7:05 and seated immediately. The restaurant was not busy at all. The menu looked so good, but I’ll never know. At 7:20 I addressed the hostess with a smile and said we have not seen a server yet. No drinks, no hellos, notta! She smiled back and said she would send someone. 15 minutes more go by and still not one person came to the table. I got up again, a little more firm and irritated, she again, said I’ll get someone. Five minutes later we left! Unacceptable and not sure how they will stay open with a staff that gathers around the hostess stand and ignores a table of four! I'm originally from California, and finding a good Mexican place to eat here in Georgia is HARD! I'm mexican and have eaten the best of the best and let me tell you. This place is the BEST OVERALL! The owner is always present and welcoming. The food! It is as close to the best I've had starting from the flavors in the meats, tortillas that don't taste like cardboard good guacamole. This is the only place I'd go to near home hand down. What a great place to eat. My wife had the grouper tacos and I had several of the street tacos including the al pastor. The fish was well seasoned and not overcooked, the salsa fit with it perfectly.
