Harvey's Bar — Restaurant in Carver

100% terrible. Ordered an app IMMEDIATELY after we sat down, she said it takes a while, not a problem we were still looking over the menu. 10 minutes later we order our food, still waiting for the app, and waiting, and waiting, and then yep, you guessed it, the food came out before the app. My husband got a burger, it was okay. My salad, a Buffalo Chicken Salad with “grilled” chicken (actually chewy microwaved chicken) was terrible. 1000% do not recommend. Halfway through our meal our “app” came out (we are the ONLY table in the place) this spinach dip was supposed to be the best ever. Ufff. Not even close. The bread was good but that’s about it. The kicker, while it’s only .50cents.. after the server brought the app wayyy late, and could clearly see I was not eating my salad or the chicken, I asked for a side of French and she charged me for it!!! Are you kidding?! I was a server for a long time and hot damn this experience was atrocious. I can see why we were the only table in here on a Friday night. I’m with the other reviews on here asking, how in the hell does this place get 5 stars...

This place has been around for quite some time now and if you are someone who has been around the Chaska/Chan/whole Carver County area long enough to remember when it was still just a small little farm like town and how drastically different this place was back BEFORE it was hit with all the sudden development transforming it into the large suburban area it is nowadays well Harvey's Bar is one of those places that provides that certain sense of Pleasant nostalgia coming from the roots of what this town came from and it's a nice place is a nice environment that type of place where you have the regulars and a very friendly and interactive staff definitely not a large bar it's a small town local bar that's been around for quite a while and it really is connected to the roots from where this town started I recommend going to...

UPDATE: Still great food, prices and service. It does seem a LOT louder than it used to be ... even on Sunday morning. Server (one in particular) who is very chatty with customers (not necessarily a bad thing, but ...) has an extremely loud laugh and voice, making it difficult for older customers with hearing aids to turn them down low enough to still have an enjoyable experience. (No music or TV volume involved.)

Best local hangout place ... friendly service, great food selections (best burgers in the SW Metro) and good prices. We eat here a lot. Tonight was a fabulous...
