I am from Chicago and my family went on a camping trip to Cascade IA. My parents were celebrating their 40th Anniversary so I wanted to do something special like a cake. Being in a small town I did not have many options and was a little concerned about what I might end up with. Cheryl's red velvet cake did not disappoint! Wow this cake was delicious and one of the best I have ever had. The cream cheese frosting was to die for and the cake itself was moist and dense which I love! Amazing food, coffee, and ambiance! I come into Cascade every few months or so to visit family. Every time I come into town, I look forward to going to Cheryl’s for consistently good breakfast and coffee. I highly recommend the Chef’s Choice breakfast sandwich - I ask for it on their honey bread instead of their honey bun, and it is phenomenal. Their scones are also good - I particularly enjoyed a raspberry white chocolate scone they had at one point. I was pleasantly surprised that they had oat milk as a non-dairy milk option since it’s my milk of choice and some coffee places don’t offer it. What's not to love about Cheryl's Flour Garden bakery! Great breakfast and lunch dishes. Fresh made Cinnamon buns with white or cream cheese icing! My favorite is the Sausage gravy over biscuits with one, two or more eggs prepared any style you like on top! Fresh ground coffee! Chai tea! Cookies! Scones.
