After reading reviews we Decided to stop by here to eat with my husband on our romantic get away from our 6 kids. The place was cute and in a perfect location. It sure could use an update with the chairs, the cushion of my chair was already cracking and ripping, the silverware was also old and u can see the water stains ate through them that I could not even whip it with napkin, it looked like an old, foggy spoon. My coffee cup which was a perfect size had brown stain that I was able to remove with a bit of pressure from my nails. The stains where at the bottom portion of the cup so I just used a straw and hoped the inside of my cup was clean. The bust boy who sat us down was very pleasant and welcoming. Despite the clothes he wore which was jeans, shirt and a cap lol. The unprofessional clothes did not bother me at all because this looked like a family own place and this kid was probably family. He was nice so I did not care. The waitress was very friendly and sweet. Loved her rainbow colored nail. She served us fast and came back to check on us. I was not very hungry but decided to eat anyway not to b hungry later. I ordered chicken Alfredo which is one of my favorite dishes. I did not know what to expect from this place so I had an open mind. My husband ordered a halibut fish, both orderers came with either soup or salad. I had soup, it was something out of tomato. The soup was good and I am not usually a soup kind of a girl but this was surprisingly good. The salad was good and fresh also. When I got my Alfredo the plate was nice and hot and it was a big portion. The sauce was ok I could eat it but the noodles where under cooked and the chicken pieces where over cooked and where falling apart in my mouth in to a dry kind of a pieces that made me feel like this was once frozen and already precooked chicken but now was reheated and it was reheated way to many times that it dried out the meat way to much and reminded me of a can chicken unfortunately. I could not eat it after couple bites and I really tried. My husbands food was a disappointment also. His fish was still very cold on the inside but because he isnāt like me and wonāt speak up we just took the fish home and finished grilling it home. The mash potatoes are also from the box and where very heavy and dry. I have had mash potatoes from the box before and liked it and sometimes use it home my self in emergencies but this was just way to dry so maybe they did not add enough water or milk with butter Iām not sure but I did not like it nor did my husbands and I am a fan of mash potatoes and being from Idaho thatās ur #1 food lol potatoes. The gravy on mash potatoes was very strange too. It reminded me of the mirror glaze cakes covering I make. I love gravyās and tried many in my life but this was was over salted and sat on the potatoes like a pice not runny gravy. So whether it was not heated all the way and it never melted properly or it was just way thinker then it should b. Maybe they are great in there burgers and fries Iām not sure but food did not impress me at all which is a bummer cuz the location is amazing and the staff is great. Hopefully they will upgrade there place soon, get new chef and make much better food. Will not come back here now but maybe in a year or 2 to c if anything changed. The service was great though and they took off my Alfredo which was nice. We did pay for the fish though and I did let the server know about uncooked fish we got which she apologized for and said she will let the cook know. Plz hire someone else cuz I would love to c this place thrive. And I read some reviews that food is cheap, Iām not sure if Iām a cheapskate or not but for the food I ate I thought it was way to overpriced for out...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIāll begin by saying that we couldnāt have asked for better waitstaff at the Lakefront Bar and Grill. They were lovely, efficient, and capable for our large party on the patio. The food is standard bar-fare. Very limited vegetarian options, which weād love to see more variety, but it gets the job done.
However, I would caution against planning for any event here. In the summer of 2024, we inquired in person the process for reserving the patio, as we were interested in holding our day before rehearsal dinner/welcome event for our June 2025 wedding in Cascade at their location. We were told that day that if you reserve the patio and pay their large party deposit that āwe assume youāre theyāre until closeā, which perfectly fit our needs as we hoped to have the space from 5-9. We paid the deposit, which we were told would be applied to our final bill for that day, and reserved the date. In the coming months, we confirmed 3 separate times what the plan and time and date was - once via phone in January 2025, once in person in April 2025, and again via text on the day of our event. Upon arrival, the owner came to the patio and, frankly, tried to bully us into shortening the event by 2 hours, half the time that we had reserved. I understand that Fridays in the summer on the patio are a popular option, so could see why they wanted the space, but that was why we booked a full year in advance and confirmed repeatedly. After we explained the situation, he returned more than once to tell us that we needed to change our plans. This is where the phenomenal waitstaff came in - they began to communicate with the owner on our behalf so we were able to attend to our guests and enjoy the event. They went to bat for us, all while providing wonderful service, and eventually we were able to hold our event as planned. The owner even made our server collect āproofā of our confirmations, which I was happy to provide, and she did so in a way that didnāt interfere with our event at all. Thanks to our two wonderful servers, our guests all had an amazing time enjoying the view, the food, and the drinks, and were unaware of the ongoing issues with the owner. I, however, will be hard pressed to return. Lastly, the deposit we paid for the event in summer of 2024 was not applied to our itemized receipt, but at this point it is not worth it to me to contact them again.
It is the service staff that saved this from a 1-star review, thank you for saving our rehearsal...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreTo start, the food choice I had was Ribeye Steak Dinner which offered a choice of soup or salad & a choice of 2 sides whether the two were baked potatoe, garlic mashed potatoes, fries, cottage cheese or veggies. What I picked within that was a medium temperature ribeye with French fries and garlic mashed potatoes. It was well presented as I saw the steam arrive from the ribeye that the server handed me and as I began to dig into it, the flavor was very great with the juiciness still being tasted in my mouth. The fries were very well crispy and with some salt and the garlic mashed potatoes was a huge delight with some gravy on it.
Going for the vibe of the place, I was met with some other customers who lived around the area including some from Nampa and Caldwell and they were extremely courteous with their response on their drinks and food. However, I must direct our attention to the lake as the restaurant had a very gorgeous view from the upstairs compartment and it was so beautiful especially with the sunset at around 6 pm.
In conclusion, the area was clean, the servers were friendly and the food in which I give my verdict, is around 5 stars rating due to the overall business presentation of service, the taste of food and the gorgeous view of the Cascade Lake despite it being...
