Top shelf bbq hands down. Don’t drive by Cascade off the 151 and NOT stop in for some seriously great food. An incredible family run joint that takes it to the next level with their flair, flavor and focus to produce quality food! Very reasonably priced and generous portions. If you can’t decide on what to try… get the Sampler(add pulled pork) you won’t be disappointed! All the sauces bring there own unique flavors to the different cuts- particularly fond of the Honey Mustard with the smoked chicken legs. The ribs had a perfect char to them and pulled right off the bone… something that you don’t see in a lot of bbq joints… competition bbq would want more tuggin and gnawing at that bone to get that prized rib bite…not me… pull off the bone…. Perfection. The brisket was well executed- checked all the boxes. On to the sides: Coleslaw, Mac and cheese, potato casserole, and baked beans….ALL of them have their own unique touches that screams original and F’in delicious! My wife is very very opinionated about bbq( I slay in the kitchen :) )…. “EVERYTHING was fabulous!” Can’t wait to try the rest of the menu! #Iowabbq #slays...
Read moreI went on a trip recently with a friend and we were staying in Cascade. We were wanting lunch and decided on the diner next door to here. After we pulled in we realized the diner had closed down. Bummer. But since we had a recommendation from a local for this place we decided to try it out. We both got the brisket. My buddy got corn bread and potato salad while I got the corn bread and mac n' cheese for sides. We both loved it. Lots of very flavorful meat. Smokey and tender. The corn bread was moist and savory. Not too sweet. And the mac n' cheese was smoky and rich. My buddy said the potato salad was fresh and creamy. My only regret was going light on the spicey BBQ sauce. Even though i'm a bit of a hot sauce addict, I wasn't sure how hot it would be and I didn't wanna overpower the meat. But it was a to-go order so I couldn't get more after I realized I wanted more. I would definitely come back if I'm ever in town again and I would recommend this place to anyone who enjoys smoked meat and southern comfort food up in...

Soons you walk in you get the aroma of smoked wood (couldnt decipher flavor and didnt ask), there wasnt a long wait time for the food, and the food was amazing. I got the rib plate with mac n cheese and cornbread, the ribs were VERY tender and well seasoned I dont know what the bbq sauce tastes like because I didnt use much (true bbq dont need sauce), the mac n cheese was very creamy and just a hint of spice to me but it was good, the cornbread it seemed like something my granny or my mom made it wasnt dried out it was sweet and they had like a honey glaze on top. 5 stars across the board!! Cant wait to go back, my mouth already watering. The photo is after a few bites and i decided i needed to...
