Iâm not happy at all with the service we were provided. The moment we walked in we were told the grill side would be a 30 minute wait but we could get a booth immediately. We went to our booth and when the waitress approached us I told her it was our first time eating here and asked her to explain the menus to us (where we live Hibachi is only served on the grill and not off a normal menu) as it looked like only rolls were an option for everyone sitting in a booth. Instead of saying absolutely she said she needed to catch up on drink orders first. When she eventually came back she was a bit snotty in explaining them. When we asked if there was a kids menu that was not Hibachi she stated there was not and it was all the same in a rude manner. I asked if I could please have noodles instead of rice due to allergies. She told me she understands allergies but no she could not do that. She said noodles cost more and she canât do it. My husband said to please charge us for the difference as that isnât a problem. From there she brought our daughters avocado roll out first, then about 10 mins later brought my husbands rolls out. We are literally still sitting at our booth 1.5 hours later and my boys and I have still not received our dinner. My husband and daughter have been done with their meals for at least 40 mins or more now. At this point in time we could have been seated on the Hibachi Grill side, had entertainment, and could be finishing up our meal AND YET we are STILL waiting for our food! Two tables whom came in after us might I mention have also already received their dinners before us. My 4 year old son is LITERALLY falling asleep in the booth.
Update, we decided to leave. We went to the register to pay for the rolls my husband and daughter ate and whomever was up there apologized and comped our meal. We appreciate that but sucks itâs almost 9:00pm and now we have to go though a drive through to feed our other two young children.
I truly believe our experience would have been completely different had we had a different waitress who would have been kind, personable, and attentive to what...
Read moreI was in Casper for work on 2/28 and decided to try out this place since it had 4.4 stars. When I came in I was seated at a regular dining table without being asked if I wanted to sit at a hibachi table and regret not asking to be seated at one. DO NOT get a hibachi entrĂ©e unless youâre sitting at a hibachi table watching them make your food. I ordered the filet mignon and shrimp hibachi entrĂ©e with no vegetables and extra fried rice and it was horrible. It came out luke warm and none of the food tasted like it was made fresh but rather came out of warming trays. I asked for my filet mignon to be cooked medium rare but was medium at best but mostly medium well and not even warm and although the shrimp was cooked it was cold. I only had a few pieces of the filet mignon and finished the shrimp because it was somewhat edible. When the server, Kat, came over to ask how the food was I told her it was ok and would probably have been better had I been at a hibachi table. She agreed with me saying âyeah it probably would haveâ. I told her the steak was over cooked and the food wasnât very warm. She asked me if I wanted a refill on my orange soda but at this point I was done and she brought me my check. No one else came over to ask about my meal so I left after paying. I suppose this is probably the only hibachi place in town so thereâs nothing else to compare it to so perhaps thatâs why it has 4.4 star reviewsâŠIâve been to other hibachi places in small towns including Farmington, NM, and Cañon City, CO and they were definitely worth 4 stars but Shogun is definitely not in food or...
Read moreThe food was decent and the show at the hibachi was decent. My appetizer was the calimari. I love calamari and have eaten quite a bit while living in Hawaii most of my life. When I have calamari, I expect it to be crisp on the outside and tender on the inside. These were like rubber bands. It's so easy to serve good calamari and so easy to kill it. It was dead. While the filet steak was very tender and tasty, the lobster was tough and over done. I had a Long island Ice Tea for my drink, very sugary. I guess they don't know how to make them or they are just going light on the booze and heavy on the sour mix to be cheap.
One thing they did not skimp on was margarine and oil while cooking the meal. While it was ok on taste... It broke the calorie meter lol. Also, don't let them fool you, it is not good saki they squirt in your mouth. He says it's the good stuff but I think it was grill cleaner and not a good or even fine saki, this stuff came in 5 gallon jugs fro Costco no doubt.
There was certainly a lot of food though. Would I go back?đ€...
