St.Louis Fish & Chicken Grill -HALLSFERRY — Restaurant in Castle Point

I was not impressed at all. I did a call in order for my job. I have never eaten at this place. I call the order in over the phone. I ordered 20 catfish fillets. When I got there 30mn later. I received my order and when I checked it. It was a pan full of chicken wings. I took it back in and told him, I ordered catfish fillets. We go back and forth for about 5mn. Then he said. I will charge you the difference between them. I asked why am I paying more taxes. I already paid taxes on the order you messed up. He stated over and over. I don't get it.....ended up paying it. Now 20 mn. later the fish is ready. I looked over at it twice then a third. I asked, "What kind of fish is that". He replied, "What you mean, it's fish What you ordered ". I said, "What kind of fish is that catfish". He replied, "Ahhh yes that's what you ordered right". I said, "You sure, cause it doesn't look like it, my dad taught me what, Jack, Buffalo etc. taste and look like". He replied, "Well this is". An older gentleman was in line and looked and stated, "You're right, that's not catfish". Then he admitted he stated, "This is Swai...we sell this and may mix it with catfish. This is our catfish, we use Swai, because folks say it tastes like catfish". I said, "Wow you take folks money, we don't ask we assume you guys sell what you advertise". A younger gentleman at the end of the line was shocked and walked out. I'm going to end this, be careful...

I just had to be extra. Rode all the way out in the county to try a fish and chicken i had never been to because all the city places are packed (Because they got good food). I ordered a large catfish nugget meal that came with fries and I also got a cheesecake. Let me first say the person working the register was very nice and welcoming. So they get 2 stars for that. The portions are pretty nice too. As for the food...the catfish was disgusting. It taste like it was cooked in old grease and it taste like they didnt wash them before cooking them. Whatever seasoning thy use it just did not taste right at all. I found myself picking through it getting really grossed out and eventually giving up on the fish. The fries were dry yet moist. Like they been sitting in the basket. I eventually accepted that I had spent my money on naaasty food but I had faith in the cheesecake. The cheesecake had a strange after taste. The only way I can describe it is its like it taste like dirty water. The crust taste like it was made with grease. I literally just threw away a big as plate a food and a piece...

The guys are kind, but the lady working the register is rude. I ordered extra lemon pepper on all my food. None was on the shrimp, when I asked her to add lemon pepper she rolled her eyes like I didn't request it and she didn't read it back to me on the order. You could clearly see the difference. I took photos. And the chicken wings are dirty and small. I had already ate some of my food before discovering this. My stomach been bubbling ever since. Lord, please protect me. The fries are those crinkle fries so you know they're trash. Not even the steak fries that stay fresh even on the reheat or air fry. Just save your money. So many other fish and chicken spots blowing this one out the water. My poor residents closeby. It's better options out there 😂. This place is trash. Flavorless shrimp, dirty wings, weak fries. Maybe they do better on steaks, but seeing the dirty chicken is all I needed. I won't be...
