They need an option to give negative stars. I went through the drive-thru on 11-17-2023. I didn't even receive my order because of the lack of professionalism shown by the employees. I had to wait for her to stop laughing and chatting with the other employees to even start ordering. As I was in the process of placing my order, the worker was rude and very disrespectful. Music blasting in the background, still laughing and talking with the other workers. She clearly didn't know how to work the headset because I was able to hear everything, no part of the conversation she was having while ignoring my order was work related at all. They didn't have any drinks so we couldn't order meals, certain pieces of chicken, or advertised items that were still posted. Almost every time I asked for an item she laughed or cut me off to say they didn't have it. I asked them if they still served green beans and with the most condescending tone, told me that I was not at Lee's chicken. I asked her how long she has worked for popeyes and again after laughing she replied 3 months. After that last comment I let her know that popeyes used to sell that item. I get as time passes so yes popeyes probably didn't serve that item anymore it has been a while since I have had popeyes. I will say the extra comment was completely unnecessary. If you don't like your job, just say that and quit. Don't treat the customer like idiots and forget that you are in a customer service job. At that point I no longer even wanted Popeyes and drove off. I don't know if this was a franchise location or a corporate location but retraining and restaffing should be the first thing on the list for this location. That was ridiculous! Read moreI visited the Popeyes location on Halls Ferry between 8:58 and 9:00 p.m. The sign clearly stated the location closes at midnight. I pulled into the drive-thru and waited several minutes, but no one greeted me or acknowledged my presence at the speaker.
Eventually, I drove around to the window, where a young man with short dreadlocks and a light complexion casually opened the window with a drink in his hand. His first words were, “Yeah, we probably not going to take no orders.” I asked why, and he responded that he was getting ready to leave and that they “usually do DoorDash only.”
Then he added, “We might do cart only,” or something along those lines—clearly trying to deter customers from placing in-person orders. I asked why he would even bother opening the window if they weren’t taking orders. He went back to speak with someone, returned, and then confirmed, “Yeah, we just going to be doing DoorDash only.”
The entire interaction was unprofessional. There was no manager present to address the situation, and when I asked for a manager’s name, he gave what seemed like a made-up name with no confidence. This location has become notorious for poor service, and tonight was another example. If there are policy changes such as switching to DoorDash-only, there should be clear signage posted. The young lady told me 20 minute wait on chicken I said ok , she said you going to wait 20 minutes for some chicken, I’m like yes I am do you not want me to wait because I don’t want any problems with this food . The food is for an 81 year old person and I would not want anything wrong with his food and I asked her did she add on the two extra breast she yelled out all you can ant me to charge you for that all ok $53.83. I’m like ok I work baby and this is not my food. So the young lady slammed the glass and went on to making orders. So when she came back I asked for a refund I don’t have time for this just give me the money back. I’ll go somewhere else. She got mad and stated we don’t do refunds and I’m like what did you say I don’t want any problems this is getting out of hand please give me the money. She first gave me a have of receipt and I’m like no ma’am I can’t understand known of this can I get a full receipt please. So she took 7 more minutes from the time she gave me my first receipt when I made the order at 3:49 to have to wait when all she had to do is repint the receipt and I could have been in my way.
